I have to say I had no idea that the guy who was runnng up to the stage with the megaphone was the same person who starred in Into The Wild. I didn't know that until a little while ago when I was doing research on the making of the film in this city...geez...I could've reached out and touched him...lol! Good job Emile! Up close and in person, Sean Penn actually looks very authentic. You have to look back at old photos of Milk in his hippy days to see exactly how accurate his look is. I have not yet worked on the same set with Hirsch, so cannot vouch for how closely he resembles Jones in person, but I can say that the people behind all this are sticklers for authenticity.
