Might Indiana Jones take down a UFO with a bazooka in this summer’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Doubtful, but a new image has popped up in the new Empire mag, with co-stars Karen Allen and the emotive kid from Project Greenlight looking hesitant in their awe over Indy’s brandishing the firearm formerly associated with Rambo. The mag also grabbed a nice quote from producer Frank Marshall…
“I would say [Indy IV] is closest to the third one [Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade]. It’s all adults. I mean, you have the sidekick in Shia (LaBeouf), but you don’t have a Short Round and I think the banter between the characters is as fun as it was in the third movie.”
Personally, the third film ranks last for me, and that’s enough dissing Short Round for today.

Marshall is trying to soften the hype, incase if anyone believes it will be better than Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Why does Indy have an RPG-7? The RPG-7 was first produced in 1961. Accepting the fact that Henry Walton Jones, Jr. was born in 1899, that would mean that Indy is at least 61 in this picture. Raiders took place in 1936, so Indy was 35ish at that time. But if Mutt Williams truly is the 18 year old love child of Marion and Indy, and came as the result of a bit of baby making at the end of Raiders, then the events of this film would take place around 1954. The RPG-7 didn’t exist in 1954. The RPG-2 would be more accurate since it was produced from 1949-1960. But that’s not an RPG-7. So, what the duece Spielberg?

Remember, Indy had a BAZOOKA pointed at the ARK of the Covenant in Raiders. Just like he didn’t pilot in the first film, didn’t land the plane in the second film, and finally flew and landed in the Crusade film he is GONNA pull the trigger in the fourth film. ON what or who I DON”T KNOW but it’s gonna be awesome!!!

Oh. My. Gosh. You’re Nuts! The 2nd movie was horrible. If it was the first one we never would have had sequels, and I wouldn’t have wanted any. Cue Kate Screaming the Entire Movie! Cue silly plot with no weight or seriousness! Cue leftover 3rd rate poor blue screen effects with stop motion models! Short Round, RIP.
Personally. the first will never be touched, and I hope this new one at least comes a bit close.

The first movie, set in 1936, featured the MP-40 (introduced in 1940) submachinegun and the P-38 pistol (introduced in 1938)…

I just wanted to say that if you haven’t yet seen the first three movies of Indiana Jones trilogy, prepared to be blown away for the fourth installment of ” Indiana Jones The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull ” . I’ve already seen twice and all of the action scenes were totally awesome , it’s great to see her back onto the big screen Karen Allen in which I’ve totally admired as an amazing actress playing her usual role of ” Marion Ravenwood ” being Mutt’s mom into the mix as well . If Karen Allen is going to do another film within the future or so, it would be playing a young lady with a learning disability graduated from her own high school year back in 1991 trying to attend the right art college in San Francisco but apparently her parents doesn’t appreciated for her to have that kind of career . So she started to look for some odd jobs here and there and still can’t find exactly what she wants to do for herself until she has a talent or perhaps a gift of learning how to draw from looking at some cartoon characters from a little card and trying to do it free handed sort of speak .
