Classic!
January 18th, 2008 at 3:25 pm
It was awesome!!! Great monster and it even came with a case of crabs!!?
January 18th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
It was pretty good. The premise is pretty stupid. The characters are all a shot or 2 from retarded and it lacks for someone to truly identify with.
Special effects are spectacular and some of the cinematography (can we call it that) makes you forget this is supposed to be a handicam. Toward the end of the movie I found myself giving up on trying to make sense of things which definitely made it more enjoyable.
The theater was silent save a few people laughing at the film. I was one of them.
To sum it up I would say it was better than average. Worth the hype? Probably not. Good? Eh. Intense? Oh definitely.
January 18th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
I will go tonight! Please spoil me, I love to here it all first. No JOKE!
Hurry up afternooners, let’s have it!
January 18th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
Worst movie ever. Wait, let me rephrase that- worst half-movie ever.
Barely an hour long, no exposition, no plot arc, no storytelling. I realize that this is supposed to be a movie about how ordinary react to extraordinary circumstances. But in order to make a movie like that you need characters people can actually like. Instead, we get a bunch of drunk yuppies.
Like most of the rest of the people in the theater, when the lights came on, I felt ripped off. The people in front of me actually said “Glad we came to the matinee, I’d have hated to pay full price for that.”
I learned nothing about the monster execpt what it looked like. No explanation of what it was, where it came from and why it was attacking Manhattan.
JJ Abrams should stick to TV. It appears his imagination is only big enough to fill hour-long spans of time.
January 18th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
Man. Amazing.
I agree, the cinematography, or lack of it, made the movie. I personally loved the characters, minus one. I loved the human feel of the movie. No epic shots and cheesy musical score. Noone really tried to be the hero and kill the monster themselves, which seems to be the outrageous plot of alot of movies, and focus wasnt as much on terrific battles with guns and rockets, but rather a group of friends just trying to stay alive, which was nice for once. The ending bummed me out aswell as alot of people, but after a bit of thinking, thats really the only to end it and have it make sense.
Overall, fantastic.
January 18th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
One more thing.
I personally though hud was hilarious and felt terrible for rob. The characters werent drunk yuppies, just 20 somethings trying to stay alive, sure there was a party but they werent stumbling over, giggling and vomiting. They were t average 20 somethings.
The ending did make alot of people feel ripped off, but you cant expect the camera to pan out or fast foreward to a hospital scene or something, thats the only way it couldve went down.
Lastly, the monster was sweet. Noone knew anything about it, only that it was trying to kill everyone, that left us to speculate on its origins like the characters themselves.
January 18th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
@Max
OK. I have an issue with you saying they were “just trying to stay alive”. The intentionally go BACK into the middle of things like a bunch of morons. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for somebody to tell your good buddy “Rob” to go piss up a rope and chase his own skirt. I sincerely disliked pretty much all the characters. Hud?!? I swear to god I thought he was going to drool on himself during his first shot. Special effects were great but with CG as refined as it is there is no excuse for them not to be.
Thats all.
January 18th, 2008 at 3:52 pm
Not worth the hype.
As Chad said, when the lights come up when the movie is done everyone felt ripped off. A lot of, “That’s it???!!!” comments. You learn nothing of the monster other than what it looks like. I guess it’s an”eye candy” movie, but hell, it lacks even that. Should’ve waited for the DVD when it hits the bargain bin, and saved some money, because this movie is NOT worth the ticket price.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:07 pm
Did anyone stay at the end of the credits? There was some audio blurb but I couldn’t make it out.
ALSO I didn’t notice JJ’s boy Greg Grunberg, can anyone tell me where he shows up? I plan on seeing it again tomorrow.
I loved the movie.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Ok, Just saw it was good. You have to admit it people who saw it the effects looked awsome sound was GREAT, and you really can’t get that hands on from any other movie (and no I didn’t see the Blair Witch Project). But like when they were in the tunnel and they turned on the night vision and that hole part was awsome. The movie after the first 20 min of the intro kept you guessing and didn’t know what was going to happen. I enjoyed it. And if you going to see it, key thing relize in the begging “video from FORMAL central park” Can’t remeber exactly how they said it but at the end when they all die I belive that they killed the thing because of that. I do wonder wether there will be a new one. I want to know what happend, also lets see it from after and were the black girl he plan doesn’t go down remember…. I think it was good and give it a 9 out of 10. I think it was worth it. Nothing else really like I thought one of the best parts was when the military was shooting at the thing and they have to get to the side, that was just amazing with the sound. one things for a fact you don’t want to watch this one online! And also I hate home made movies by people that can’t hold a camara but this I belive was good. But we will see what everyone thinks of it in a few days.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
I think the movie was great, the people who felt “ripped off” just have no immagination. I personally enjoy a movie that will stay with me after i watch it and by not explaning everything in the end it leave us to talk about it and try to find explainations for ourself. So people who felt ripped off, sorry you rather have someone do the thinking for you, but if you enjoy a movie that stays with after the film stops running then this movie is great.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
Another thing, I think they should of went about 30mins longer explain more and have the chopper not go down and stuff Not sure but wish we would of seen what happend to the monster.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
I thought it was awesome and amazing. The monster was wicked cool but I had a few questions.
1. Does anyone have a screenshot or short clip of the last scene? I read online that when they were on the ferris wheel, something fell in the water behind them, and I didn’t notice it during the film. Anyone else notice anything?
2. I read online that people should pay attention to the girl sleeping on the couch at the party. I noticed her, but what was so special about her?
Otherwise, I’m kinda glad it ended with questions that remain unanswered, like a typical JJ Abrams production (LOST). Speculation rocks.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
Terribly done. Too much hype, not enough shots of the monster itself. Throughout the movie I began to hate Rob’s friend, the guy who was filming the whole event. Even a simple retard can hold the camera straight, and what’s more is that when the monster was close to them (while they are taking cover behind the cars in the street while the military is blazing away) he is filming Rob. Yeah, I get it, that’s your friend….I don’t know about you, but if i were that kid, I would be looking at what the damn monster was doing to make sure it wasn’t going to kill me. And as a moviegoer, I didn’t pay 8 bucks to see that jerk. I actually laughed when he got killed…probably the best footage of the monster….and that was short lived too. Plus why is it that the helicopter pilots died, and they were wearing helmets, while the jackass kids in the back survived a crash? Lame.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
just saw it…really enjoyed it…didnt change my life…dont feel ripped off….i dont need movies to be life altering experiences…i have a nice enough one as is….and as someone has already stated, to stick with the premise of the movie, there is no other way it could have ended…as far as any deeper meaning to the movie…is it a coincidence that it was an oil tanker that was destroyed right out of the gates? or that the statue of liberty was decapitated? or that at one point in the movie the characters question whether the ‘government created it?’ i think they say ‘intentionally or unintentionally’ when talking about the govt ‘creating’ it…i could be reading too deeply…overall it was fun and somewhat intense…beats sitting around pecking on a computer all day i suppose…
January 18th, 2008 at 4:26 pm
I thought the movie was good. It wasn’t greatness as I had built it up to be though. I thought the love story was lame, but necessary to drive our beloved characters into the thick of things. I can appreciate that all my questions weren’t answered when the credits rolled, it kinda goes with the territory with JJ Abrams. The monster was very cool, and the parasites were creepy in the subway tunnel, but i would have liked to see more of them on the surface. Is it me or was the monsters size a little inconsistent throughout the movie? It seemed a lot smaller in the close encounter at the end of the film than it did in the beginning. Later on after seeing the movie i had the thought that they should have a tie in to the next season of lost where the islanders accidentally unleash this thing, but i don’t think the chronology/time-line would work. I would recommend this to people who like “Lost” and “The Blair Witch Project.”
January 18th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
I really enjoyed the movie. Really sucked me into the scenario and made me feel like I was part of it. Loved the monster, loved the effects, loved the mystery. For those unwilling to suspend disbelief concerning certain events in the movie, remember: this is a movie about a gigantic monster stumbling through NYC. Give them a break.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
Can someone describe the monster, please?
January 18th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
The mystery of the movie is what has us all still talking about it. I believe it was meant to feel like real life - as simple as someone video taping life and someone else watching the video. Yes it’s a movie, but if you step back and question - if I were in this situation and were to video tape this event, how would it probably look? Would I make sure to hold the camera as steady as possible every second and make sure to look through it even when I’m running?
And If a monster is attacking your city, you’re not going to find all the answers to “what is it?”, “why is it attacking?”, “where did it come from?” or anything like that all in one night when even the army who is fighting it has no idea either. We’re watching someone’s documentary of the night, a video tape - and they didn’t survive it for the movie to make a shift the day after. And we caught the characters getting ready for a party - their entire history is not going to coinicidentally be revealed for us to know them so personally.
The mystery of all those unanswered questions feels necessary to establish the authentic feeling of watching an oridnary group of people who have video taped this terrifying moment. And in my opinion, I was frustrated not knowing so much because I was so interested in what was going on; however, when I stop to think, I realize there’s no realistic way, in this one night, to have these kind of questions answered. Everything was still happening - the mystery was still there. Personally, it allows me, like many great books, to use my imagination to create the rest.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
i really enjoyed it. my only complaint was the opening scene at the party which was slow, and i thought the model-icious, rich 20-somethings would hurt the overall experience for me, but they do grow on you somewhat as the story progresses. the special effects were fantastic, and the movie’s an endless roller coaster ride once the oil tanker goes down. the little monsters were scary. all the unanswered questions about them and the big guy made it more realistic in my opinion. and what happens to the girl who is bitten was probably the creepiest part for me. i give the movie an A/A-. definitely recommend! it’s not often you come across quality horror/adventure like this.
p.s. in all honesty i think the main close-up of the monster at the end was perhaps a LITTLE bit disappointing for me, but not enough to hurt the overall experience.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Both my dad and I are of the mind that this movie is a bit too high brow for people to really appreciate. There were people in the theater where we saw it complaining that Blair Witch had a better ending. As it was mentioned before, were people expecting a happy ending? I think that major films have us trained to believe that when the last reel finishes playing, everything has to be happy and cheery.
Is it more realistic to have a group of 20 something wunderkinds going around saving the day? Or a group of average intelligence 20 somethings that are being led by emotion and fear. When Rob decided to go back to get Beth, he wasn’t being rational at all. Hell, I don’t think I’d be able to be rational after seeing the Statue of Liberty’s head flung down my street and witnessing my brother dying while trying to escape.
I felt… attached… to Rob and Hud and the rest of the group by the end of the movie. Which is the exact effect that the director was going for.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
well put mikey…
January 18th, 2008 at 4:55 pm
Just so no one has to stay all the way until the end of the credits to hear the audio, someone says “Help us.”
In another forum, someone used a program to play the message in reverse, then it says “It’s still alive.”
I’m glad I found this out before hand, because if I’d have waited around for that I’d have felt left down.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:57 pm
Sitting through this film is like watching Jurassic park, shot by some idiot with a handheld camera running away from the T-rex. I don’t care if that’s the “point” of this movie; the fact is that making a film in this manner, limits greatly what can be done, and as a result the buying public is ripped off, that’s it. We don’t even get to see and appreciate the damn monster! This is Godzilla meet the Blair Witch Project, just with no obvious plot. Lastly we don’t get any additional info about this pic, from what was previously learned by viewing the original trailer which premiered with Transformers the movie. This film is a waste of time and money.
January 18th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
Shut up Danno. Too much hype? The people doing the hype were people that wanted to know what the movie was going to be about. The actual marketing for the film itself was pretty modest. All they had to do was make a trailer or two without giving away the whole plot of the film and YOU decided it would be a good idea to build it up in your head to some unreachable goal.
Not enough shots of the monster? I was honestly going in expecting to see nothing more than a tentacle here and there and a couple of funky noises. You see the monster a dozen times, both from the air and the ground (for a pretty decent amount of time too, these aren’t just little blurry glances), and at one point the goddamn thing is staring the camera right in the face for two minutes.
And to all of the people complaining about character development and plot development, go ahead and whip out a home video of yours and see how much damn plot development and character development you see in it. It’s funny, whenever I see a movie that’s praised by all as having fantastic acting and character development, it always turns out that it’s just some idiots acting all melodramatic about nothing in particular. You’ve all lost your sense of reality. You want to know how people act in reality? Like statues. At least compared to most of your beloved drama queen actors anyways. I’ve been living with my roommate for over a month and I still don’t know a damned thing about him. He’s like a mannequin that occasionally goes out and gets drunk. So I find it telling whenever characters in films decide to tone down the melodrama and act like HUMAN BEINGS every once in a while, a bunch of “critics” and wanna-be critics get uppity and pissy about the acting.
All of these things, claiming that there wasn’t enough plot and character development, and claiming that you didn’t see the monster enough, just tells me that you’re all a bunch of dullards that need things made blindingly obvious, explicit, and overstimulating for it to be good. The same thing happened with the blair witch project. -In a nasally, whiny voice-”Nothings happening!!! I wanna see the witch!!! My cars keys aren’t big, round, multicolored, and plastic!!! I want my pacifier!!!”
You can not like the movie, that’s fine with me. Some things just aren’t certain peoples’ cup of tea and they’re looking for something else. That’s just great, but don’t go acting like there’s something objectively wrong with the movie because things were a little too subtle for you (and that’s not to say that this movie is subtle, just too subtle for you).
January 18th, 2008 at 5:08 pm
I thought the movie was great but the monster was a little bit too “cute”. it’s almost like they plan to make a line of stuffed “Cloverfield” animals.
January 18th, 2008 at 5:10 pm
“whenever I see a movie that’s praised by all as having fantastic acting and character development, it always turns out that it’s just some idiots acting all melodramatic about nothing in particular.”
brilliant…couldnt have put it better…
January 18th, 2008 at 5:13 pm
Definitely thought it was a great movie. I my bf had to go to the bathroom during it, and couldnt find the right time to go. it was just so non stop moving that you didnt want to miss anything.
i really do think its gonna be a classic. for sure. i just saw it again today for the second time (i saw it last night at the myspace event for “robs going away party”…i posted a link to my blog where i posted just a couple pics from the night in the previous story comments. it was way to hard to get a pic with anyone from the cast.). leaving, you just feel so amped up.
the best way to describe it is…. intense.
January 18th, 2008 at 5:15 pm
bdawg posted earlier about the last scene on the ferris wheel..and yea something does fall into the ocean behind them. I noticed it and looked over to a few of my friends I saw the movie with. Asked them if they just saw it and no they didnt haha….it’s way in the background, but leads me to believe if it’s relevant, and fell from the sky. Then maybe the monster isnt from this world at all…hmmm part 2 maybe shall tell? :) Over all I liked the movie, lots of un answered questions but I like it that way…leave me wanting more!
January 18th, 2008 at 5:19 pm
They should let Dark Horse Comics have the comics franchise.
Like Alien and Predator. An opportunity to fill in the blanks and answer all your questions.
Or do a bogus 2 hour TV documentary for the Sci-Fi channel.
January 18th, 2008 at 5:23 pm
The movie was perfect. The viral marketing left you with questions. The movie answered those questions yet left you with even more question than what you went in with. Freaking brilliant. There was no sound score until the credits. The cinematography wasn’t nearly as annoying as I anticipated. The characters were real, other than the whole premise of following the lover-boy. Way better than The Host.
January 18th, 2008 at 5:31 pm
Movie was pretty good. Monster was passable, but I would like more answers on where it came from and wtf was the little monsters dropping off of it. If you are prone to motion sickness…DON’T SIT NEAR THE SCREEN.
January 18th, 2008 at 5:32 pm
I believe this movie was done spectacularly. I honestly believe that it more than succeeded my expectations for a good movie and what I was expecting. First off, as someone mentioned above, You don’t really expect to go into this movie expecting to find out every little detail about a monster that SUDDENLY ATTACKS MANHATTAN, do you? I believe that was what the whole hype of this movie was about to begin with, to watch a documentary on what events conspired one night in Manhattan when a monster suddenly attacked. The lack of details and knowledge are what helps keep up the suspense, the fact that you know nothing about this monster, not even what it really looks like. You have to put yourself in a realistic point of view. Picture the movie Godzilla. Now picture yourself as someone who doesn’t know what the hells going on and just so happened to be in New York when this gigantic reptile rips through it. Are you really, honestly going to tell me that your going to know everything about it, or ever even find out any more details about it once it gets killed? In one word, no. Only the people who have a very small imagination and have had everything dumbed down for them in the past would want more than what’s given. Now, I will give you the fact that it, of course, leaves you to wonder at the end more about it, but that was the purpose of this entire film, to keep you thinking. This movie is based on a realistic point of view, I don’t believe that you’d be constantly pointing the camera at a creature like that, especially being so close to it. As it is, just thinking about seeing something like that in real life gives me a heart attack, so you can’t blame the guy if he aims at his friends ever now and again. Also, Rob went back into the city to find Beth, he doesn’t need any logical explanation as to why he does so because if you don’t know, you obviously weren’t paying attention. If the person I loved was trapped in the middle of the city and she had called me for help, you better believe that I’d go back for her in a heartbeat. This brings about the phrase “Love will have you do the dumbest things.” and it’s incredibly true. Anybody who’s ever truly loved someone should agree with me on this. I found this movie to be one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time. The ending itself was something that was completely expected after the plane crashed, they had to die, there was no other way it was going to happen. And to top it all off, the characters for this film where great. I loved the way HUD would constantly joke around, because this added a sort of realism to the whole movie. He even said at one point “I have to keep talking or else I’m going to sh** myself in this hallway!” It’s completely realistic. All in all, this movie was what I expected and better. Anybody who wishes to disagree with me, so be it, but as for me, my verdict is in.
January 18th, 2008 at 5:36 pm
All the stuff that we learn from the viral websites etc, is for us to know, because the characters in the movie don’t. That is kinda the point and what is cool about it. Those of us who have made the connections about the Tagruoto company, Rob’s new job, Slusho, the fallen space debris that hit Tagruoto’s sattelite, etc. that stuff is for us, the audience, to know because just as Rob says in the message he records at the end, “if you’ve found this tape, then you know more than I do.” We DO know more than he does.
Basically, this film is from the “extras” point of view. The people that are running away in the background of a regular Hollywood monster film, this is their story. What are those people doing once they run offscreen while the military and scientists are musing over origins and contingincy plans and how to defeat it.
Those people who are hating this movie, just don’t see this point of it, which is the whole POV JJ Abrams wanted. What if we didn’t follow the main characters, but maybe the poor souls caught in the chaos. I thought it was refreshing and unique.
That being said, the whole film as a HandiCam footage did get a tad sickening at times. My one true criticism would be that, but based on the POV they wanted it would be hard not to do it that way and get the “reality” of it as they did. Of course at times in situations and among certain people (military), why would the cam be rolling or allowed to be running, but it is first a movie so we would have to have that footage or else we wouldn’t know much else.
One thing I’d love to see now, a parallel movie from the “hero” perspective that now takes us on the journey like a regular movie would. I.E. show the drilling to uncover/break the ship/etc of our monster and they Tagruoto co.’s involvement, military meetings, Slusho etc etc. And maybe in certain shots we see Rob and co. running in the background and getting into the chopper and such. That way we could find out what is really happening to “exploding girl” and where it came from, etc.
All in all, I give it a 9/10 (based on the dizzying camera shots but again, can’t hold a camcorder very steady even if you aren’t running). I loved it, but yes the viral sites’ info isn’t mentioned in the film, but it gives you the audience that insight that our characters don’t and can’t give to you because they have no means to get that info. That is why they gave it to us before so we could absorb it and know the situation and reasons before watching the tragedy of Rob and his friends. Like Titanic, we know the boat sinks at the end, but the people in the film didn’t. Same thing here with the viral info.
January 18th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
Movie was great. Takes movies in general to a whole nother level. I feel like theres a chunk missing they should put in before reaching the helicopters..cause they just automatically end up at the choppers.
Btw, why is it called cloverfield anyway? Is there no other reason than thats just what everyone called it before we knew the title so they just slapped it with that title instead of making one up?
January 18th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
ok i will say that the movies was not anything i thought it would be neither was the monster despite any parts of it that i saw in the comercials and any leaks.
but i have to say that i was blown away by the sheer grotesqueness of that thing man that was the most nasty looking monster i have ever seen and i have seen just about any like it was nastier that the humanoid alien in alien resurection.
i really like the wqay the movie went but i felt bad about marlena the whole time because i knew she was going to die and i was dreading the moment.
second HUD man he was the best commentator ever he should have had a show on HBO or some late night show
rob was prettyy much singleminded the whole movie and that was kind of weird because he saw hiw brother get crushed right infront of him yet he only anguished about it in like two scenes worth.
i get why lili would wanna follow them but marlena basically got sucked into the frey because she basically stopped thinking for the first part of the movie.
anyway i’m not mad about the way the movie ened basically its left wide open for a follow up wich i am damn sure expecting cuz i feel like they need to tie up a lot of loose ends like where does tagruato fit into all of this and just what makes people explode from the bites
this being movieland i can see rob and beth somehow surviving that last attack, i mean if the camera did why would they not right they probably droped the cam and ran away with that thing chasing after them while the jets are hammering it.
they never dropped the nuke like they were promissing or else the camera defenetly would not have survived.
someon said that at the end of the credits theres like a voice and played backwards it says its still alive so if someone can confirm this it would be nice. also i dont remember seeing anything going into the water in that coney island scene
but i’m sure it will be on youtube by monday
um this movie is not for those people who didnt play along in the arg which introduced you to the characters but had no bearing on this movie. 3 out of 5 stars for being too short, spider parasite WTF? i’d have prefered some velociraptors and letting marlena die a senseless death other than that it was a flawless execution.
January 18th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
It was a good monster movie.
The suspense and effects were marvelous.
The HANDYCAM SHOOTING STYLE is NOT.
I would have enjoyed the movie more if i wasn’t having a major headache trying to watch it.
The idea of having the movie shot from a handycam is great BUT i just wish they didn’t do it so literally for the whole thing. Little snippets here and there would have been a good and sufficient addition instead of cruise control on the shaky camera.
The only thing that stopping me from leaving the theatre in the hope of regaining my sanity back is the fact that i really wanted to know more about what happen next in the movie.
So help me God, i’m going to barf and its not because the movie sux. It was actually a good movie.
January 18th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
Why is it that everyone who enjoyed this film has to belittle those who did not?
Using phrases such as “You obviously don’t have a good imagination” or “This film is too high brow for normal people to understand” or “You obviously don’t understand XYZ” Just shows you to be a pretentious jerk.
You liked the movie. Fine. You want to bear the offspring of JJ Abrams. Fine. Don’t tell people they’re stupid because they didn’t follow all the viral BS and didn’t jump through hoops for some media company so they could attempt to make up their own movie based on the stupid decisions of crappy ex-Guess models running from an ILM boogeymonster. The movie was fine… not great, not terrible. The fans on the other hand? Not so much.
January 18th, 2008 at 6:02 pm
As someone who followed the movie from the Pre-Transformers trailer, I was walking into the theatre with a good amount of knowledge about the movie. Yet, even after seeing the movie I can’t tell you where the monster came from, why it came out, or why it attacked the city. I know there were rumors of it coming from the bottom of the ocean because something upset it and that it was attacking the city because the soldiers were shooting at it, but who’s to say that any of those are true. Also I have three more problems, why did Marlene’s body explode, why did the center of New York explode in the beginning when the monster has no fire techniques, and the fact that the three characters all lived from a 5 thousand foot helicopter crash is kinda obsurd…besides that, AN UNBELIEVABLY ENJOYABLE AND FUN FLICK…can’t wait to pick it up on DVD!
January 18th, 2008 at 6:03 pm
Well put.
January 18th, 2008 at 6:04 pm
I have to agree with Rob.
ALOT of people were pissed that the movie ended like it did.
ALOT.
I would of felt the same way if I didn’t follow the viral campaign and knew what was going on with the characters before the movie. The viral stuff came together once I saw the movie, but I wish that there was some more explanation of the monster or what was happening to the people that was bitten from the little monsters. If would of been hard for that to of happened though since the film was filmed by one of the characters.
The composition and sound effects were great, the story was lacking. I’m still on the fence on this one.
Like I said above, if I didn’t follow the viral stuff and knew about Slush-o, Rob going to work for them and all of the other stuff associated with Tagruato, I would of been highly disappointed.
There needs to be a sequel to tie up ALOT of the loose ends and at least explain some things.
January 18th, 2008 at 6:04 pm
Personally, i think the movie was about a 7.5 out of 10. Special efficts were amazing, characters were good, would have rather had Hud only throw in one or two punch lines rather then every word out of his mouth a joke, and be more serious. But i would be liying if i said i wasnt laughing. For me i expected more of a story behind the monster and i was a little let down that it wasnt one of the hyped up monsters that were talked about (chitulu manly.). Also the last ten minutes of the movie i could have done without. From the time the monster knocked down the helicopter and the close up look of the 300ft monster that somehow snuck up on Hud???But all in all i think it was worth seeing and i would recomend it.
January 18th, 2008 at 6:10 pm
The movie was good. There are two different ways to approach that word. Good could mean that it met the audiences expectations, or it could mean that it did what it set out to do. Either way, it all depends on the viewer. I was leaning forward, I didn’t want to miss anything. I don’t care about the characters. This isn’t a character driven movie. There are different types of plots. There are character driven plots, which happen because of the characters, e.g. Wrong Turn, Ocean’s Eleven. And then there are story driven plots, which happen regardless, e.g. Cloverfield, Armageddon. So, in a movie like this, I don’t find characters to be a huge issue. I laughed at Hud. “Those are different things. Also terrifying.”
However. I didn’t really notice this until after I thought about it (after the movie). Rob was very single-minded throughout. I’m not an expert in the psychology of catastrophe, so I’m not going to say that this is bad for the film. But, I do wonder.
*ahem*
TO ALL THOSE WHO ARE ARGUING ABOUT THE MONSTER*
After the credits are completely done rolling, there is garbled a garbled radio transmission, which says the following, in reverse:
“It’s still alive.”
January 18th, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Movie was sweet….i thought it was very realistic and cleverly filmed. It was supposed to be about what would happen if a monster suddenly attacked a major city…and that’s what it did, it didn’t provide many details about the monster or anything like that (which provided the situation, the characters shouldn’t have known too much), but it was more like “oh, sh*t something is trying to kill me, so it’s time to run”. To those of you bashing rob for running to try and save beth…you are retarded…if you’ve ever been in love with someone then you would know that you’re life doesn’t matter to you very much when that person is in danger…..anyways, good movie….btw, did anyone else see the thing come crashing in from the sky into the ocean on the top right of the screen during the last scene (the one where rob and beth are at cony island)?
January 18th, 2008 at 6:14 pm
helicopter crashes are very surviveable the way they fall is like those seeds that spins as they fall if you knwo what i’m talking about
January 18th, 2008 at 6:17 pm
“Why is it that everyone who enjoyed this film has to belittle those who did not?”
I would like to say, in light of my other comment, that I don’t care if you didn’t like it, and it’s okay if you even have issues with some of the things in it (I know I noticed a few things that had me going “nah…”). I just don’t like the people that dismiss it in the ways I’ve listed above (I don’t think I need to restate my tl;dr comment again). I just really really really don’t want this to turn out like the blair witch project with a bunch of shallow idiots going “WTF man, I’ve been ripped off!! There was no witch flying around on a broomstick!! What idiot can’t hold a camera still!?! (answer: most people) Save your money!! That movie had NO REDEEMING QUALITIES WHATSOEVER!!!!”
January 18th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
WHY WAS IS CALLED CLOVERFIELD. That is the question.
January 18th, 2008 at 6:23 pm
The film was well put together, i wish they would have spent a little more time showing the monster and the kind of awsome power it has. Its a little unbeleivable that his freinds would go with him to help the girl, especially after their first close up encounter with it. Byu the way that scene was great. The ending was a little of a let down and felt staged, but it is just a movie. Overall I really enjoyed it, but hopefully when the sequil comes out the wont make it with hand helds, my neck is still a little sore fgrom looking sideways for an hour and a half.
January 18th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
Amazing! I left the theater thinking I should feel cheated by the bleak ending and lack of info on the monster, but I didn’t. I personally thought the interspersed film of Rob and Beth provided a a very compelling counterpoint and truly made the movie that much better. The “hand-held” camera work succeeded in making me dizzy and feeling unsettled which left a lot of extra room on my seat. The monster was awesome, I was actually content in seeing only parts but also didn’t feel the complete reveal was contrived or cheesy. Great film will probably go see it again.
January 18th, 2008 at 6:31 pm
This was not a movie, it was an experience. If you allowed the movie to suck you in…to become Hud, to be the person behind the camera, it will leave you shaken. From the opening start (of complete quite and darkness) the movie sets the stage, and keeps you slightly off kilter. Go see it. If you let it, and only if you let it, it will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions.
By the way, I want to be the first to add a bit of rumor about the origins of the monster. I believe he came to earth off the shore of Coney Island on 27 Apr. In the last scene of Rob and Beth at Coney Island, I think (and I could be wrong) I saw something large strike the water behind them. Of course you can’t rewind in the theater, but I think I saw something…and it would be a cool plot closer. Please, let me know if you see the same thing. Scott
January 18th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
i saw the same thing,
January 18th, 2008 at 6:36 pm
it was really far of in the distance
January 18th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
I certainly don’t mean to BASH Rob. I’m just saying, as a hardcore cynic, that it struck me as unexpected.
To Joe:
I totally didn’t see that!! I might go see it again, just to catch that. It’s really amazing. When I read that, the movie just became 40 times better for me, with that foreshadowing at the end….
FYI, I’m giggling like a schoolgirl in sex ed class.
January 18th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
I love monster movies. I loved this movie. Ever since being young I’ve always loved watching the classics such as King Kong, The Lost World, and the Godzilla franchise. I was highly anticipating this film. I had read somewhere that it was: “like the Blair Witch, but with a monster.” What more could you ask for!? Nothing, in my opinion, and I got al ot more then that!
I remembering seeing the trailer for this movie tagged on with Transformers (another film that at the time I was jazzed about) The trailer was one of the best trailers Ive seen in a long time. Nobody new what it was, it was brilliant market campaign, This was all summed up with some guy in the theater saying: “What the hell?” That was my general reaction to.
Now I’ve read the message boards look into the stuff on hear etc etc, I don’t think you can get a full appreciation of the movie unless you jumped into the content laid out for you, which I did.
I completely agree with people saying how much character development can you get in twenty minutes. It was pretty realistic (minus excessive cursing if it were an R), I don’t know how some of you would’ve carried yourselves in a situation like that but I doubt it would be calm cool and collected. If someone you love is trapped somewhere, you go rescue them. His thoughts were irrational of course but then it would’ve have been to the audiences liking it he said: “you guys are right, let get out of here.” cut to credits. Im sure there’s stuff that was left out do to everyones eagerness to see the monster.
The monster? What more do you want to know? Were it came from etc etc, if we given that information then Im sure it would be a hail storm of “well that’s not original” I think its best left to your own imagination (yes there is still such a thing) I recall reading something Abrams said of how it was in the ocean and had just woken up or something of that ilk. The monster itself was pretty awesome, I look forward to seeing this film a second time to get a better look.
The camera work? If there was no handicam thing, then it would just be another monster movie, the handicam angle they used was what was supposed to interest people in the first place, and as annoying as it may have gotten, thats pretty much how it would be were you there. I have a small handicam I carry around with me and it movies pretty move the same way, which might not be to others viewing pleasure. Some of the shots were epic and just looked great and I don’t think that could’ve been pulled off with careful lighting and measuring and a proper camera. The handicam feel is 75% of the movie.
I give the film due credit because there were parts that were simply intense, when I first viewing the trailer and seeing the explosions in the buildings I was reminded of the second plane crash on september the 11th. It was realistic, it was uncomfortable, it looked real. You can’t have that effect in a regularly shot film.
Of course this is all opinionated but I think people need to look more closer until further condemning, but it seems like a lot of you liked it which is great, I just hope the steady cam doesn’t become a trend!
January 18th, 2008 at 6:42 pm
Enjoyed it for sure. Hated seeing some of the earlier commenters type that the movie was terrible, had no “plot arc”, and was a bunch of drunk yuppies. Lay off the film school herb,s guys. Just like a commenter said a few posts before this, the movie was an experience. Just leave it for that. Was anyone expecting the next hithcock or spielberg to come from someone aligned with the felicity series. all in all, well worth my time. Best shot coming from the looting scene in which hud makes a few funny comments and they pan up to the looters that stop to watch the news. Also since this is a spoiler approved zone, I must admit my jaw dropped when the monster came back up and attacked the helicopter. Kudos
January 18th, 2008 at 6:49 pm
I hate it…….i really didnt even understand how the monster died, how that dude survived 100 feet, and how did that woman explode. I t is like open sea (1 & 2). It really stinks to know that all the dudes die. If there is something to impress me in this movie……it is the graphics, the planes, and the monster.
January 18th, 2008 at 6:49 pm
Hello, “Doc can you please write me a prescription for Promethazine?”
What’s wrong you ask, how about a bad case of Motion sickness. I’m experiencing; nausea, disorientation, an upset stomach, and fatigue. “I feel like I’m about to VOMIT”
Wait one minute; okay the fresh air feels good, I’m sorry Doc, but I had to run out of the movie theater. Just 30 minutes into the movie Cloverfield. Is it good, I’m not sure what to say except that I would take a pass on the film. I would even skip buying or renting the DVD when it comes out.
January 18th, 2008 at 6:49 pm
to whoever mentioned something falling into the water at coney island or whatever.
I saw it a second time and it was definately something, pretty obvious if you’re looking, just dont focus on the people focus on the water!
January 18th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
For the record: the movie was never supposed to explain the monster, why it was there, where it came from, and what it wanted. In fact, the thing that made it intense and scary was that it was simulating what would actually happen in that event. If that occured right now, there wouldn’t be a little guy sitting there telling you EXACTLY every little detail about the monster. You weren’t SUPPOSED to know everything about it because it was all about the fear of the unknown. I think the whole movie would have been RUINED if everything had been explained. The movie strongly reminded me of H.P Lovecraft; and he was famously known for vaguely explaining the monsters in his stories, because what he went for was the fear of the unknown. Same thing with King’s “The Mist” the short story. I haven’t seen the movie, so I don’t know how it ends, but the book ends with NOTHING explained about the monsters that attacked. THATS why its so good and thats what makes Cloverfield a WIN. THATS what seperates Cloverfield from the crap monster and alien movies that are made nowadays.
The handicam was great. If they shot it normally, it would have killed the realistic effect they were going for.
January 18th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
It would also impress me more if there is a game about this…beside…..I STILL WANT TO KNOW IF THE MONSTER DIED. Not just the monster but did the other last 3 dudes die or lived? How did the monster turned into a monster anyways? These are questions that cannot be answered. I would like to see cloverfield 2 though (if there is such thing)
January 18th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
I found it incredibly satisfactory. It was everything I thought it was going to be. Nothing blew me away and nothing left me disappointed. Overall it was pretty good, but a one time only watch.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:00 pm
why is everyone saying they got sick from the camera? To be honest it didn’t bother me at all.
I think a sequel would ruin this movie.
I might see it again just to look for the Cony Island thing, lol.
The monster owned though :D
January 18th, 2008 at 7:00 pm
to joe: what did you saw at the top-right of the screen….was it on the film or on the dating thing?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:01 pm
TO JOE: wheres coney island…..what did you see at the top-right……..was it on the scary thing on the screen or was it on the dating thing? please answer MAN!
January 18th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
That was one lazy story. Must be nice not to have to explain anything. Let us know if the film makers ever offering refunds. Then you would findout how many people really like this POS. As soon as some one post the five or six shots of the monster on youtube, no one will need to see the movie. No wonder they kept it so secret lol. I admit, they got me. There probably sitting around saying, Gotcha Suckers!
January 18th, 2008 at 7:03 pm
I’ll say it again. At the end of the credits, the very end, there is a garbled radio transmission. The transmission say:
“It’s still alive” in reverse.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:03 pm
Okay watched the movie. I liked it. I’m pretty sure there will be a part 2 due to the audio at the end of the credits. It’s a male voice saying, “It’s still Alive!” Which we kind of got from the movie already since it’s formally known as Central Park. I would really like a few questions answered. I have decided I need to watch it again just to clairfy a few things.
I’m a little disappointed with the CG. I think they could have come up with better looking “parasites”. They reminded me of a revamped line of the creatures from Starship Troppers.
And What exactly was the big creature suppose to be? Am I suppose to think it came from space, since the camera shot at the end (Coney Island) showed something crashing into the ocean? Or am I looking at a mutated Jersey Devil? Too many open theories on the creature. And did any one else see tenticals?? Because Wikipedia said it had tenticals. I didn’t see any tenticals!!!! What were the things on the side of it’s head. I say it was ears. My sister saw gils and then we specualtied that it could be theremal sensors.
And what exactly happened to Hud??? I know he’s dead but why did the creature spit him back out? Was he chewed in half? What????
And Why is everyone asking what happened to Marlena?? Hello her blood was all over the white tent wall. She blew up. Why, Not real sure about the whole parasitic relationship. I mean we know she blew up due to her bite but WHY??? Was something escaping?? If you think about it the guy wheeled by before they found out she was biten, his stomach was wide open. And are we suppose to think that the bug they brought in after, in the glass containment was it from the guys abdomen??? What exactly was the ooze that was on it’s “Face”?
And are we to presume to think that Lily made it out???
And another thing How the heck did she run all over in High heels? I mean come on they kill for a few hours let alone running in the subway with pebbles, rocks, and dirt. I so want a pair of those, Who ever made them, Cause they were d*mn sturdy. I’ve never seen a pair that didn’t break in running situation.
I’m not saying it’s not plausable, highly unlikely yes, How did Beth happen to miss all major things in her shoulder area, Veins, artaries, and such. Besides Hello blood loss was perfuse.
Okay said my piece. I really think this is a good movie and it lived up to the hype that was created. I probably would not have gone to see this movie without all the hype. And I am really glad it didn’t turn out to be Godzilla!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 18th, 2008 at 7:05 pm
I also wish hat there really was a war against some type of creature. We would own and see awesome explosions, we get to slash, dash, and shoot. Now theres a sweet thought of making “Cloverfield”The game
January 18th, 2008 at 7:07 pm
Laura:
You only really saw a tentacle once. It was when the thing took out the bridge. I went straight to Wikipedia myself. lol
January 18th, 2008 at 7:08 pm
To answer you question Alenjandro the helicopter pilot more and likely used an emergency technique called AUTO ROTATION. In the event of a catastrophic engine failure the pilot can utilize the power of the free spinning blades to “technically” land the helicopter. This is a technique that is well known to all helicoptor pilots.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:10 pm
I wish they’d show more of the monster and the fighting going on and the action instead of just that small group of people. They’re boring.
I hate the hand-held camera method.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
To Laura:WOW!!!! Now that……is what i call “a speach” that was well written and i also thought that it wasnt godzilla….thanks and stuff but one thing……..WHERE WAS THIS CONEY ISLAND PLACE.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:12 pm
Is coney island that place where there was a far and that dude and dudet was on that feris wheel.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
Oh dear..
Cloverfield 2?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443522/
Look at the director.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:16 pm
wAS CONEY ISLAND THAT PLACE WHERE THEY HAD THE FAIR AND THING? AND DID THE GUYS WENT THERE OR JUST THE MAN and woman. iS THAT WHERE THE MOSTER FELL OR…..HFJHDJK……IM GETTING SO STRESSED OUT THIS MOVIE HAD A AWFUL ENDINg. Who was the dude who said “im still alive” who who WHO!!!
January 18th, 2008 at 7:16 pm
to OMG:
Where was Coney Island? Well, at the end, when Rob and Beth were on the Ferris Wheel, that was at Coney Island. When, near the beginning, you see a large flaming section of land jutting out from the city with a big fallen neon red sign that has a C, an O, an N, and a Y, that was Coney Island.
Coney Island is a famous tourist spot in NYC. It dates back to the turn of the 20th century.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
To Dave: So did that thing that fell on the water upper right was the monster. ANd when did it fall….when they were on the ferris wheel or what?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:24 pm
OMG:
I didn’t actually see that. According to what I’ve been reading, in the final shot, when Beth says “I had a good day.” is when it fell. I’m going to see it again, just to catch that. But, you’ve got it.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
Glad to see others are talking about the last scene on the ferris wheel. I was actually assuming that there would be some kind of twist at the end, so when the camera was panning across the ocean from the ferris wheel, I was looking. It happens quick, but there is a ship out on the ocean (I’m assuming for scale) and I saw a splash near the ship. It was close to the same size of the ship, indicating whatever it was is very big. I didn’t think it fell from the sky. My impression is that it was simply there for the irony that Rob had evidence of the creature on the same camera a month before the attack. I’m looking forward to the DVD so I can hit pause. Sorry to say I missed the credits so I didn’t catch any of that mystery.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
And how did that women explode?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:28 pm
An instant classic! This movie will go down as one of the greats of the current generation. I saw it at midnight and just got back from seeing it a second time. Absolutely brilliant. It was everything I hoped for and more. The cinematography was amazing, it makes the crowd feel like they are one of the group members. The creature was absolutely crazy. There isn’t one scene that disappoints. The only problem I could see people (by people I mean non-ignorant movie-goers), saying is that their is no history or explanation of the creature within the movie. I think it was a great way to end the movie leaving the audience pondering just what the creature was and where it was from. This movie has been worth the wait.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
See but then we know if came from outerspace, that kinda ruins it. So watching Godzilla vs. Destroyah right now, haha, go Cloverfield!
January 18th, 2008 at 7:31 pm
As far as I can tell, these little parasites that were falling of of the creature carried some kind of venom, or perhaps embryo or whatever. Their bite caused something to happen, which resulted in people exploding. Remember that guy that they said had been bit? His torso was torn wide open. And then they wheeled one of those little critters by. I really don’t know why, but it had something to do with the bite.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:33 pm
Some of these posts seem suspect and a bit too positive. Has the viral marketing extended beyond their own domains now?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:34 pm
Anyone find it odd how Rob went into the electronics store, pulled a brand new battery off of the rack, and it was charged???
January 18th, 2008 at 7:34 pm
Typically you have to charge those things first, dont you?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:35 pm
To Dave: So is it like alien vs predators when a facehugger attacks a victem and lets out somekind of worm-like creatue inside the body. Once it eats all the things in the stomach it comes out and go’s in a cacoon. Later it turns into a alien. Is that what ur talking about?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:36 pm
I just came back from the movie.. all I have to say is.. THE MOVIE WAS F***ING AWESOME!!!
It’s a must see theater movie (or DVD) if you watch it when it comes out bootlegged, you just ruined a movie that is a new moder classic.
It is so worth 9/10.
I bet if the movie was Rated R (like it was suppose to be according to interview) I think the movie would have been twice as better and it should have been longer also.
One question though… did Lily die? Because they never show what happened to the helicopter she was in, did they?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:36 pm
Also, anyone esle notice that the creatures size varied greatly scene to scene?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:36 pm
Well, if they are reviewing their own production on forums, I don’t think it’s viral anymore. But I’m inclined to agree with you, Jerry, as much as I loved the movie. Although, I can see this movie being one of those titles that pops up every now and again, and people say “Oh, ya, I remember that one” with a little grin.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:38 pm
To Felipe:did you see at the top-right of the screen when they were on coney island inside the ferris wheel?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:38 pm
Also, he came from the ocean, but the actual design of the monster showed nothing to indicate that. He had feet like an elephant. :{
January 18th, 2008 at 7:38 pm
Just got home from the movie, and my mind is still replaying things.
For one, not any of the so called ‘released’ pix of the monster were terribly accurate. Now I know why–because outside of the scene towards the end as it is looking down ready to chomp on HUD–you don’t get a real good look at it. Yeah, some parts as its fighting off the army or coming up through the smoke to cream the helo. But rarely a dead on, real time, live, sustained shot.
And I believe that was kind of the point. Same with the little critters. you could see enough.
OVerall, I did enjoy it. I cannot worry if it matched the hype–hype has only one purpose and that is to draw interest. By just being here myself and reading all the other comments–I would say it hit its mark.
I have no issues with those who didn’t like it–I get their point. It could be nauseating to some (I didn’t mind). The story really had no answers. A few things caught my attention as not making total sense–like how the hell did it ’sneak’ up on them after the helo crashes, when all it does in the city is make LOST WORLD type sounds as it moves.
And no, we don’t really know the final ending. I completely missed the part about ‘it’s still alive’ in the credits, and I never saw something splash in the water at Coney Island. That may make me see it again.
It would be worth it to me, because I suspended my disbelief enough to just watch, allow myself to be entertained and not take it too seriously.
I have serious concerns about a sequel–since they are rarely worth a s**t. The DVD with anything added could be really fun, if they do it right.
I would give it an A- or a 9 out of 10. Fun, tense, entertaining. Could it happen? Who knows? How would you act if you were there? No one can possibly say unless it happened to you–so be fair about that.
Bottom line-see it, don’t see it. Like it, don’t like it. Doesn’t really matter, does it? To each, their own.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:38 pm
OMG: that is the gist of my theory, yes. But I don’t know for certain. What I do know, is is scared the s**t out of me.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:39 pm
This whole “thing on coney island” bit being repeated by certain “posters” just seems like a way to push multi-views of this half-hearted movie and pull more $$ this weekend…
January 18th, 2008 at 7:40 pm
To Felipe:yes Lily did lived since she was the only helecopter alive and the other chopper went down though
January 18th, 2008 at 7:41 pm
Also, something funny happened. The movie kept messing up on the previews it like moves everyone turned off turned back on turned off turned back on the screen was too high, the screen was too low it was funny. After the previews finished, you know how it had those color bars that happens when a TV breaks or something?
Everyone started screaming “What The Hell?!” it was so funny cause they thought the movie broke or something LOL
January 18th, 2008 at 7:43 pm
Chill out Jerry. If you want to find a conspiracy, stay focused on the CIA.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:43 pm
Also, the creature exhibited no ability to jump, until he pulled off that slam dunk move, apparently jumping 5 times his own height to knock the chopper out of the air for no apparent reason, ignoring the bombers actually attacking him. lame.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:44 pm
I thought cloverfield was all about a cover-up?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:45 pm
How would they cover THAT up?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
someone mentioned something earlier about King’s The Mist. I have to say, I read that story a bunch of times and was torn about the movie. It could be great, or like many good stories–could be turned into something else, less than good.
I was disappointed a bit in how it was finally made
And for that, I am very glad C’Field was not a short story or anything else to base the movie on-just imagination.
Which is what I believe the makers would like us, the viewers to use, to find our own conclusions.
Just what I think.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
“How would they cover THAT up?”
Toss in some explosions and bad cgi and maybe no one will notice?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
The moster is like godzilla…..it only roars more than it attacks……so thats why King Kong killed Godzilla
January 18th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
If he did less roaring then he couldve destroyd the whole New York
January 18th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
So I’m curious……. if the creature had the ability to jump really high, why did he just stand there and let the army shoot him previously in the movie?
January 18th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
Would it make you feel better, Jerry, if I said that something happened at Coney Island, but it’s so insignificant that no one should go see it again?? Get a life! Yes…something splashed in the water during the Coney Island scene. I’m not going to spend $10 bucks to go get a better look and I’m sure most others won’t either. I doubt we’ve got any studio spys on here trying to manipulate us to spend more money.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:49 pm
I don’t follow you Jerry. Are you hinting at what you feel was underdone special effects?
