Mais le réalisateur du film Matt Reeves vient d’annoncer (même si ce n’est pas confirmé) que ce qu’on voit serait une des clés de l’origine du monstre. Ce qui remettrait en cause les théories des sites viraux qui avaient assuré un buzz constant sur le film et qui, en gros, attiraient l’attention sur une mystérieuse boisson (le Slusho), une entreprise de forage détenue par une grosse entreprise, et une mythologie de monstre et de cité marine interdite, hommage à Lovecraft, Cthulhu. The object that hit the water didn't appear to have a smoke trail behind it so I dunno how it could have fallen from space, gone through the atmosphere and never gotten hot maybe it was some sort of foreign military experiment and dropped out of a plane or something. I noticed the splash watching it on DVD the 2nd time and what I found most interesting was the irony of the last scene of the movie being the very begginnig of the whole event. Since the video from the train was a month and 3 days before the attack, that timeframe may have been the eggs "incubation period" under the water.
