The teaser trailer for JJ Abrams’s Star Trek has hit the web in bootleg form. The trailer is exactly like the spy reported last week. Currently attached to Cloverfield, the trailer is likely to hit the interwebs on Monday or Tuesday, so just might want to wait for a high definition non-handicam version. But until then, there’s always YouTube.

Is it nit picking to ask:
Why would they paint USS Enterprise on the saucer section while its still under construction? Wouldn’t the paint job be done last?
I mean..I’m a star wars geek, I don’t even like star trek that much…..I cant imagine how those star trek nerds are gonna react to this blatant inconsistency of star ship construction.
:P

Good score on the youtube bootleg Peter… though I foresee this taken down quicker than the Tom Cruise Scientology video.

The idea that both the film, the Enterprise and indeed the future of the troubled Star Trek saga is literally being bolted together is great psychology. It looks harsh.

Only just come across this page looking for a non QT HD version. But yes it is nitpicking to point out that IN A TRAILER, they paint U.S.S. ENTERPRISE on a ship still under construction. it is only a trailer.
Unlike the finished article in Star Wars. To quote Yoda “Do or do not. There is no try.”
But in Revenge of the Sith (a finished film) was it not Kenobi who pointed out to Anakin that “Only a Sith deals in absolutes.”
What was Yoda talking about then?

Anyone who said it was a weak or bad teaser doesn’t fully grasp the idea of a………teaser. Looks crazy I’m not the biggest Startrek fan but I’m excited to see what they do with it!

RedandJonny yes it is knitpicking, but I thought the same exact thing when I saw it the first time LMAO! It is but it’s relevant. It just seemed out of place and that is something that a “Trekkie” would bitch about. Eh……..all ya’ll “Star…” nutz kill me!
