I was so excited to see this movie, knowing nothing about it. We all sat down to watch it and I AM DIZZY!! It was way too hard to watch - nothing to focus on. Short, thank goodness… we laughed through the whole thing. My fav? Pulling the girl off the rebar (she was IMPALED) and she then is magically good enough to crawl over buildings and run around new york. LOLOL VERY VERY FUNNY!!!

OK, My review of this movie does not need much space.
I am a huge horror / sci fi fan. I am not hugley har do please. nut, I am sorry tosay this movie was utterly boring, tedious, irritating, predictable, over hyped crap. I have had more frighteniung bus trips. The characters ware non entities, i did not care at all about them. The “major” characters that died were only memorable by their anoyance factor in the first place. The movie was derivitive in the extreme and commited the ultimate crime of being very dissapointing. The monster may have been great/ But we never got a good look at it. In “Alien” that was a justifiable suspense builder and a positive bonus, not knowing quite what the horror was
only glimpsed & suggested and all the more creepy for it. sadly in CLOVERFIELD the whole experience was so pldding and the “tension” so mild that we needed the beast to show it’s self to justify hanging on so long. Sorry everyone, but my opinoin, low value as it mat be is that this film was a vary great let down after waiting for the DVD release. I seriously considered a way of getting a refund. Quite a good idea, poorly realised. Sorry Cloverfield. Sorry for the time spent on it.

Okay, dudes. Four words, don’t go see it. It sucks. The way the guys handles the camera is absolutely annouying. The first 20 minutes of the movie has no point. You don’t get to know a character well at all and there was no point. There was no begining, body or conclusion. It felt like just a long and waste of time preview. I swear to god I was really disappointed. The action was ok but the acting was not realistic at all. Seriously, if I saw that ugly monster thingy I’d be running for my life and I wouldn’t be hiding under a little bridge. Do not waste your money to go and see this movie. It’s really pointless. At least if we saw a little more details of the aliens or whatever they were or the camera was more experienced handling then it would have been better. Now please, get a higher budget because we could all tell you had NONE!

Wow the Worst movie ive ever seen..no plot at ALL their basically on a mission to go save a dudes friend/girl friend its so dumb.. it doesn’t tell you what happened at the end who actually survived like the chick lilly..just watch it and watch how mad you get

Me and my friends went to go see the movie almost as soon as it came out, and we loved it..! it is sooo frekkin awesome, and I am NOT Trying to be a spoiler, but it already says this in the trailer of the movie that the monster came out because of a satilite that they shot down and that fell in the water, but ifyou pay close attention in the movie, you will notice the satalite fall in the background because in the movie it keeps going back and forth to old footage, and you have to look veryyyyy closly to the satalie fall, and at the end they go “its alive” there are a lot of hiiden things in the movie, and the movie is really goood, so anyone who doesnt like it because of the way it is fiilmed, I think that it is unique how it is filmed, they tried to make it look like found footage, I personally think that it would not have been as good if it was filmed like a regular old movie. it would of been, plain, boring, simple, and no uniqueness at all.
but it was good..

seriously, my fAV movie,
but we all have different tastes
so if you are reading this wondering if you should go see it our not, i think you should go see it because you will never know until you do, and it really is good.

This had to be the worst movie I`ve seen this year. Hollywood is doing movies that are not worth there salt. This film could have been made by third graders. I would imagine it cost more for the ads then the movie it`s self. I spent $1.00 to see it and felt like I got ripped off. It wasted my time.

Best monster movie ever! great original first person idea. loved it. well worth the money. i saw it yesterday (Monday) and i already plan to see it again w/ one of my friends Saturday! anything but a Godzilla ripoff.
8.5 out of 10! The beginning of the movie is a little questionable and some of the dialog is questionable to. i would not recommend to anyone under the age of 13 (im 14) for strong language (i mean really strong) and mild suggestive themes at the beginning. i plan to purchase the 2 disc special when it releases and i suggest you do the same. it comes with an alternate ending.

Well I didn’t call anyone the C word did I? Comment alerts from this site keeping appearing in my junk box, like little notes to remind me of the the vacant intellectual depths people have sunk to to be sucked in by such a vacuous and paper thin movie. It makes Starship Troopers seem like Citizen Kane (at least there was SOME irony in that)

Cloverfield i would say is the first Hyperstupidâ„¢ movie of the millenium,
But you’re right, like King Kong, something about the hype eclipsed itself
and since the movie wasnt really so good, it has been forgotten very quickly.
