I don’t think she’s the “greatest thing on earth” but I do think she is genuinely talented and funny writer. I’m not sure she had a hand in penning this movie though– it just happens to star her and is produced by Lorne Michaels.

As for the person who hates 30 Rock: if you’ve only watched one of the first half of the first season give it a try now– see if you like it because I do think it got better as time went on. If you have watched a recent episode and still don’t like it than whatever, I’m not going to hate you for not liking something.

You are not alone! I’m not a fan of Tina Fey.
I don’t think she’s as good as everyone says she is
and I feel she is overrated.

I think this movie looks dumb downed and full of clichÃ©s.
The only time I laughed is when the mom was asking
her kid what was all over him. That was a genuine
funny mom moment, though I would never have licked
my kid, I can see another woman doing just that.

Tracy Morgan -sigh- I simply cannot comment on how non-funny
he is. I don’t think he’s ever made me laugh and makes me cringe
every time he pops up 30 Rock (a show I also find way overrated) The man can’t act.

The only good thing about 30 Rock is Alec Baldwin who is the
reason I will occasionally tune into the show. He has the best
lines and is wholly unlikable.

I saw this (alone, mind you, which is why I’m so eager to talk about it with people) at a pre-screening at a local mall. It was alright, had some laughs, but ultimately not as enjoyable as the previous SNL based “Mean Girls.” The cast is, as you can see, full of excellent comedians who all do a great job of supporting a somewhat forgetful script.

The trailer surprisingly omits Steve Martin who is, as you might expect, one of the funniest parts of the film.

Sad to see my girls Tina and Amy (I’ve got not so secret crushes on both!) in something that looks to be less entertaining than old Weekend Update bits. Sigh.

I think Fey is sexy. There I said it. Doesn’t mean I’ll be in line with a ticket. Can this website start a weekly run of the “Crap Hollywood Thinks People Will Buy” - sort of a negative man’s “Cool Stuff.” Everyone seems to enjoy the bashing of regular cinema, lets give the true shlock (Shrooms, anyone?) a little bit of the lime light. Just an idea. Shoot at will.

Yeah, this doesn’t look too great, and I didn’t really think it looked great with the first look photo a while back, either. Though Hunter’s most recent comment is 100% credible.

I think Tina Fey is a talented writer with a knack for adding humility and realism to otherwise outlandish situations, but this movie doesn’t look too promising. Sure, if done well it could follow in the footsteps of “Knocked Up” and “Juno,” but if not, it will just end up like some painfully drawn out SNL skit.
