Paramount has released a new photo from Jon Favreau’s Iron Man, featuring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, testing the armor’s gauntlet mechanism (or so we assume). Click on the photo above to enlarge.
Our friends at Screenrant have an exclusive look at a Iron Man fan film created by David Guivant. Designed as a spec opening title sequence for a fictional television series called The Invincible Iron Man. You’ll actually be amazed at some of the special effects. Watch it now on Screenrant.

Impressive stuff for a fan-film - especially considering that the graphics are 2D not 3D… I can almost see this on TV; the only thing that doesn’t sell it is that the actors don’t look actorly.
Still, 10/10 for effort and results.

this is isn’t meant as hate speech, but they really could have afforded some compositing lessons if they didn’t spend ANY money on this. Even some online tutorials. While I am impressed if they have made a 22 minute pilot, but I’m not really getting that impression. Sure, every shot is visual effects, but I feel like they played it safe. Lots of close ups, etc or if it was a wider shot of a person, it was only there lower half, upper half…etc. Pretty dissapointing. If you have the great knowledge of working and lighting a greenscreen, go all the way with it, they create so much opportunity for creativity. No one wants to see a bunch of close-ups. And then the action sequences seemed very 2d. I would have liked to see a little more realism there to match the quality of the lighting on the greenscreen. Maya can create some pretty easy to produce 3d environments, as can 3dsMax. Check them out. Also, get actors who can act, even if they don’t look the parts, and don’t ever settle with casting friends, even if it seems comfortable at the time, it will come back to bite you. These actors seem terrible, sincerely. Laughably bad. Although I do appreciate your love of Iron Man. I would want to make a fan film for my favorite superhero someday, but I’m too busy doing effects professionally. I don’t know what superhero I would do, maybe a film for the new “Bat girl”. That Japanese chick.

I really don’t think I would watch this if it was actually on, and I love Iron man. For some reason the old TV show Mantis comes to mind?
Especially the spaceship action scenes.

The Alien vs hunter producers should get this guy to make their trailers.

we’ve seen big budget movies that looked like crap, I just caught your iron man trailer and wow, I’m extremly impressed. More action and more fun then what was shown in the official Hollywood trailer. Paramount should call this guy to work with them.

The actors look pretty damn impressive, this trailer is so true to the real thing. Now all we gotta do is wait for the TV Show. Why isn’t this guy on Paramount’s payroll yet? Should hire him to work on the sequel.

There are already clips up on VooZoo on Facebook. Actual scenes of Stark flying and being shot at by fighter planes. You just have to get the app on FB, which takes 2 seconds. They have clips from other films too like Transformers.
