When I read the synopsis I interpreted Monaghan's casting to play into the "Gleaming the Cube"-type plot where the prized older brother is killed (as Shia's is in Eagle Eye) and the young, slacker brother picks up a skateboard (or a shotgun in this case) and gets revenge. It appears she's just A single mom tagging along. My worries are no more, though the new edit doesn't reflect this. @ X
