I was a huge fan of the now canceled television show Journeyman. A victim of a mixture of the writers strike and lower than expected ratings, the series’ last episode aired a couple weeks ago. Almost makes me want to start a pointless letter writing campaign.
But truth be told, Journeyman was actually slammed by few as a copy of the bestselling novel The Time Traveler’s Wife. And not so coincidently, Audrey Niffenegger’s novel was optioned three years prior. The romantic drama starring Eric Bana as a Chicago librarian with a gene that causes him to involuntarily time travel will hit the big screen later this year. The story revolves around the complications it creates for his marriage (wife played by Rachel McAdams). Check out some photos from the upcoming New Line film after the jump. Click to enlarge.
The Time Travelers Wife hits theaters in 2008.

He’s saying Journeyman was a copy of this…
I too was a big fan of the show. Pilot wasn’t great, but the ending was awesome and so I watched more. Second episode was so-so, then episode three on was fantastic. The final episode showed how much story left to tell the show had, and that frustrated me a great deal, but it also brought some closure. One tear…

It all sounds like “Slaughterhouse 5″ to me.

Gotcha IG seems this line confused me:
“ee, I told you it was somewhat a copy of Journeyman. ”
All is well

I really loved the Time Traveler’s Wife. I hope they don’t screw it up.

Ah, you just had to bring Journeyman up. Now I’ll have to go sit in a corner again and reminisce. :*(

I don’t care if Journeyman was a copy of The Time Traveler’s Wife. Journeyman was well written with a good cast and characters that made me care. I hope the movie will be as good as the series,

Journeyman is a great show (I won’t think in past terms!) and I really hope some NBC rep. will somehow come across all the wonderful commnets about this show that are now all over.

The Peter guy that posted this says he “almost wants to start a pointless letter-writing campaign.” Almost? It never hurts to try.
