First of all let's not pretend that A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints wasn't completely awful. Not every writer can or must direct, Montiel being chief among the evidence. If he wasn't directing this it might have a chance.

And who's not psyched about Hell Ride, just the stills of Madsen alone. Sorry, maybe I'm too subjective, but that looks like cult gold.

And if Australia's a whole lotta Quigley Down Under (is that really so much to ask?) and a whole lot less Luhrmann-esoterica, then the film could be incredibly strong. Taste notwithstanding, Luhrmann is a gifted and fearless visionary. I predict something memorable.

Are you sure The Bank Job is set in 1971? The last picture plainly has a "bendy bus" which have only been in operation for a few years...

"City of Ember" should be an interesting movie. I read the book last year and thought it was an intriguing concept. I'm looking forward to seeing it on the big screen, especially now that I've seen the pics. The color scheme is very reminiscent of what I had in my head while reading.

Whoa, is that last photo the tribal dude/actor who played in Peter Weir's The Last Wave? How puffy does Kidman's face look in that still? Not to get Perezish, but for real.

These films all share the fact that I am not too siked on any of them, but would probably check them all out. I'm a sucker for heists circa '70s and these stills are kinda cool.

...who's directing City of Ember?

Glad to see Hellride is getting a theatrical. QT still pulls a ton of weight with Harvey. It's like the cool version of Wild Hogs. Can't believe QT didn't star in it as a gang member.
