TEKKEN MOVIE IS GOING TO SUCK.

Dwight Little to direct the Tekken movie,no way this is going to be
another video game movie problem and this Dwight Little guy should leave the project and Crystal Sky are a butch of idiots and Alan McElroy made the script and cheesy and I'm not happy with this news.
Other VG movie news the plot for the Onimusha movie is not true and Christophe Gans and the crew should rewrite the script and change the plot to follow the plotline from the original game Onimusha Warlords game.
Onimusha movie plot will follow to the first game and the film will have the cast and crew will be Japanese and Chinese.
Thank You.

Dwight Little is still better than the last guy who was supposed to direct, some director of Bernie Mac or Cedric The Entertainer masterpieces, what's his name Charles Stone III?

Most video games these days are cinema waiting to happen. Game designers used to take the majority of their creative strength from films (think the Grand Theft Auto series), but now they don't need to; their narratives are undeniably more fresh, exciting and original then any summer tentpole film.

It would appear that over time as films became progressively worse and games just the opposite the tables were turned. Cineastes need to now take their creative strength from the well of their competitor.

peter, you bring up a good point about video games continuously attracting the bottom of the barrel production teams. While i am one of the few who enjoyed the resident evil series, there has yet to be a game adaptation that is taken seriously. Tron is legendary, but i cant think of much else. Video games do seem doomed from the beginning, and i have no idea why this is so.

Just for the record, Dwight Little also directed Halloween 4, which is actually pretty good considering. So this is his second project with McElroy.

P.S. I also remember working in a video store when Marked for Death came out and one of my co-workers asked if I saw it. I said no and that I had no plans to. And he said, "What!! That's the kind of movie you dream about!" I've never forgotten about that. What sad dreams...

I'll admit Marked For Death is by far the best non-Andrew Davis Seagal film and one of my truly guilty pleasures, but...

"...the facts presented above are more than enough to convince you of this film's eventual disastrous fate."

Truer words were never said. I believe they have now come out the DVD premiere closet.

Marked For Death was friggin awesome. A worthy follow up Seagal film to Hard To Kill.

"One thought he was invincible, the other thought he could fly......"

(Whiplash deadpan head turn)

"They were both wrong."
