I could list twenty female performances that top Adams this year. It's a kids disney movie. Thats like the equivalent of Anne Hathaway getting nominated for Princess Diaries. Absolute insanity. All faith will be lost in the academy if that happens.

Also, I just don't see "Juno" grossing more than $25-30 million. It's a teen-preggers movie released at Christmas with no big stars and it looks too hip/NYC to attract adults. And even some of the college crowd isn't too stoked on it, due to too much "indie" on the soundtrack and too much bullshit surrounding Diablo Cody's made up persona (who ever reps this girl deserves 90% of the credit). She obviously was a stripper b/c she wanted to write a book about being a stripper: very calculated even for Hollywood.

Michael Cera is only associated with a tits-and-beer comedy amongst the mainstream and the trailers don't grab you. It's sort of the new "Ghostworld," but def not "Ferris Bueller" as critics are comparing and not even a "Fast Times" b/c there's no Spicoli.

So, $25-30 mill for Juno, tops I say.

Is it just me, or is "Enchanted" sort of underperforming for a film that is so "beloved" in pop culture and starring an actress that, while definitely on her way, doesn't seem to have that huge runaway hit "Enchanted" is made out to be.

It's def a success, but the Disney brand at Xmas time usually is. She has a chance of grabbing an Oscar nod, but it's not a lock. If she does, Hollywood politics would have played a large hand, b/c the general public hasn't "fallen" for just yet.

Wait...a sure fire oscar nomination for Amy Adams? What are you talking about? That's the most absurd statement I've heard all week.

Did anyone honestly see this making a ton of money? It's been marketed terribly, there is no "cute" sidekick for the little kids to love, and as a film that LOOKS like it should be rated PG, it lost a ton of it's younger audience with families with it's final rating being PG13
