I still don't understand the point of showing extended chunks of whatever film prior to their release. I hate spoilers (as I've pointed out on this site) so of course I'm a little biased but what can a 7-minute clip do that an extended trailer can't? The extended trailer for I Am Legend that ran prior to American Gangster was fantastic and was long enough and descriptive enough to peak my interest greatly. If they'd shown 7 minutes of I Am Legend I'd be like.. what the hell? If somehow the 7 minutes drew me in, I'd be pissed as hell that I knew that much more of the film before I went in and saw it.

Granted this is all late night rambling, the only real reason for my displeasure is probably because I know I'll have to walk out of the theater and return upon The Dark Knight's footage completing, prior to I Am Legend.
