Like most children of the 1980’s, I grew up watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and collecting the action figures. It always bothered me how they decided to come out with like five million different variations of the turtle fighting team. For example, were Metal Mutant Michaelangelo or Kowabunga Crackin’ Turtle Egg Don really necessary?
Anyway, I came across a photo one of the new 6″ TMNT action figures. It looks very much like the original Mirage comic book series that started everything (remember, all the turtles had the red colored ninja masks?). Click the image of Leonardo to the right to enlarge. No word on when these suckers will hit stores, but we’ll keep you updated.

Surely that’s Raphael, and not Leonardo!?

It’s indeed Leonardo. Raphael used Sai’s while Leonardo used dual Katanas.
