SeaWorld Orlando Announces Polar Express Ride

The Polar Express

While Disney is adding a few new Pixar Attractions, The Simpson’s Ride is being readied at Universal, SeaWorld Orlando has announced that they will feature a ride based on Robert Zemeckis’ The Polar Express.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Iwerks Entertainment are reprogramming the theme park’s Wild Arctic simulator ride, and transforming it into a simulated train ride to “Santa Town” for the holiday season.  When the ride ends, people will step out onto a recreation of the North Pole. SeaWorld’s exhibit of polar bears, beluga whales, walruses and other Arctic animals will also be made up to fit the winter wonderland theme.

The new Polar Express ride will debut on Friday and will be in place through January 1st 2008.

So this transformation will only take place over the holiday season, each year? If so, I applaud their effort. The ride itself as it is now is fantastic, but words can't fully describe what it's like to me once the 'ride' is over, and the riders are able to do the walk-through of the Antarctic Station. It's almost creepy how real the environment seems to be.
  • that ride should be fine, but actually i'm saving for the Harry Potter park ^^

My breath was taken away, I had not heard of the Polor Express attraction, I was amazed, it was fantastic, I could not wait to tell everyone about how special it made feel, It was an actual DISNEY Moment, even if it was at SeaWorld. From the start to a special surprise around the corner, I get a lump in my thoat just thinking about it. It's a MUST SEE. I will recomend it highly. My hats off to the fantastic people of SEAWORLD. You have made me remember what it's like to believe something so special.
