Sweeney Todd

Paramount has sent us a short featurette focusing on Johnny Depp’s musical performance in Tim Burton’s upcoming film version of Sweeney Todd. Depp talks a bit about the music, and we see a musical number intercut with the actor doing his recording session. Check out the new featurette after the jump.

Sweeney Todd hits theaters on December 21, 2007.

Is it just me or does Johnny Depp sound just like he sounded in Pirates of the Caribbean? It’s kind of funny. But, I must say his singing is quite good.

I gotta say…. I HATE the fact that this is a musical. I was really looking forward to this film. Visually it looks stunning like all of Burtons work… But the singing pretty much guarantee’s that I wont go out of my way to see this.

I’m surpised by Depp’s singing and so very glad he sounds good enough not to have a dubbed singer’s voice. I’m sooo looking forward to this movie.

I recomend this movie to all of Tim Burton and Johnny’s fans. Like always they did and amazing job, not to mention the rest of the cast. Even tough is a musical is not boring at all ’cause is so far from the musical that we’re use to. Give it a try, it’ll be worth it!!
