Yesterday we told you that Vivendi Games was making a Ghostbusters video game for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Now a video with demo footage from the game in development has shown up online. Check it out after the jump along with a series of new screenshots. As always click on the images to enlarge. Looks like they are using some sequences from the films for the demo. I can’t wait to wrangle up some ghosts. Too bad the first game won’t be released on the Wii, because it would have been fun to play using the Wiimote.

if all i hear is in fact true this game should be long.from what i was told you play gb and gb2 then gb3 so you get a feel for the game on the frist two parts then you get a new story to play around with and it’s more of a horror/comedy to keep people playing without geting bord to fast so it should be like the ghosthuner game ps2 only look more real and more jumps

I hope they don’t waste thier time with a Wii port of this game. Seems like it will be a great game and it would be ashamed to port it to a fad system like the Wii. They’d lose big money, it would be better to stay with the consoles or desktops that we all know will still be around in 6 months. I honestly don’t give the Wii platform more then 6 month before it start to wane in popularity.

I’m looking foward, to playing the new Ghostbusters video game either on Microsoft XBOX 360 or Sony Playstation 3, the look the best on both of these systems. The Sony Playstation 2 and Nintendo Wii I think was cheated out of having the same versions as the 360 and PS3. Instead, they are going to get kiddoe versions of Ghostbusters the graphics and character look are not that bad, but it is kiidie in comparison, to PS3’s and 360’s Oh Well!!! I’m also, looking forward to seeing a feature film, the film was supposed to be like TMNT’s cgi cinematic animation imagery. I hope Sony/Columbia Pictures gives the rights to Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis GB3 must become a reality on the big screen. MIB2 made it, why not Ghostbusters 3 What’s the deal people. Sorry to burst your bubble, but as of right now a CGI GB3 isn’t happening; & the Ghostbusters Videogame does take place after the 2nd film in 1991. Dan Ackroid said it himself that the video game is a sequel to the first two films. He also said that a video game is better than another film ’cause it’ll last longer.

Patrick. So far all Akroyd has said is that a CGI movie would stand more of a chance than a live-action. Nothing on a CGI movie was confirmed. He also said that this video game will be the third movie. HOWEVER, we all know that what sells turns into a movie, so I THINK an actual third movie would be possible only if SONY sees a nice cut from the game sales and sees the results of the upcoming marketing blitz this fall. It’s corporate. It’s not based upon handful of fans, but on the proof of thousands of fans.

Pat, alas, if it will become a movie, it will be AFTER the videogame. The GB3 movie is in development hell. The person who played Peter Venkman said that this comeback would become a possibility of GB3. Also, the website says it is a new plot, so obviously not a remake. Tron’s sequel was Tron 2.0. and that was a video game, so don’t think it’s not true. Wikipedia, the guy who plays Venkman, and the official website disprove you. Also, Ernie hudson may have been the cast, but the director of the movies was Ivan Reitman. Ernie does voices, so don’t expect him to know everything. One last thing, Pat, is that you should ask Bill Murray, who played Peter, the leader. Ask everyone else working and you will mostly find the response that this video game is IN FACT, Ghostbusters III. Please check.

I found PROOF that Ghostbusters 3 WILL be in CGI. Type in http://www.Screenrush.co.uk and there will be a box on the top right. Type in “Ghostbusters 3 in CGI” then enter it will tell you more proof that GB3 will be in CGI so you click that. Go all the way to the bottom of the page and you will see a picture of Bill Murray and PROOF Info. about GB3 being in CGI when you click on it, it WILL show you that Ghostbusters 3 WILL be in CGI. What Dan Aykroyd talked about last year of Feb. of 2007 GB3 in CGI is a GO! This Information will make you think twice that I wasn’t a liying you guys were a BIG LIAR! I was told that there will be a Teaser Trailer for the CGI movie at the Comic-Con.I have a friend who lives in San Diego and she works at the Comic-Con and she knew about this already after I told her about it. She knows that I’m a #1 GB Fan! That made me very Happy! Before Dan went on the Country Radio Station he said at the Winery in late 2006 that Bill Murray would come back if it was done in CGI (GB3) and Bill has already agreed to voice for the CGI movie and videogame. I got an email from Zath and he was pleased to tell me thanks for the update because he found the Information on the webpage at the Comic-Con. It will be released in July. Even my friend from San Diego works at the Comic-Con and she knew about this after I told her. She even said the videogame will be released on 10-21-08 around Halloween, and the movie in 2009 so that’s great news. I like Live-Action to but Bill Murray won’t do that just CGI and that’s fine because it’ won’t be crappy it will be a huge hit. Dan also said that the GB’s will meet the Devil in sort of a Donald Trump like. It’s not going to be a dumb cartoon with CGI GB3 will be a blast to see. Look at the new TMNT I saw the trailer for that and it was neat. It wasn’t crappy at all. Back in Feb. of 2007 Dan went on the Country radio Station and said that Bill Murray agreed to voice for a third film. It won’t happen as a live-Action but Bill agreed to voice for a third film as well as the videogame. Stop calling people names you asshole! You don’t keep up to date? Things has changed since what you’ve been reading! GB3 in CGI will be here next Summer of 2009 and the videogame will be here on 10-21-08 so there you have new Info. I work for columbia pictures and I can guarantee you that the Ghostbusters 3 trailer will be shown at the San Diego Comicon this July. Thats all I can say; and that’s all I will say. I hope you all enjoy the trailer

Really interesting reading all these rumours. We all know now the video game is 100% now and it wouldn’t suprise me if a film was also in the pipeline, but i would imagine the film will only go ahead if the game is a hit. We all know the big Film production companys will make any film if its gonna attract interest and make a good profit. trouble is convincing them its still got apeal, the Game should do that. Would be fantastic to see another film, but it has to be a new story otherwise it won’t fit in with the previous 2, simply because its not live action. They should make a whole new trilogy but in CGI but making it as realistic as possible, similar to the finaly fantasy movies, that would work (with a good script of course).

Sony emeiled me because I was right about the Ghostbusters 3 being made in CGI. Sony wouldn’t fib to me about that. My friend who also works at the Comic- Con also knew about the teaser trailer that they will be showing and i was happy about that. The real teaser trailer will be avalibale on July26th on youtube and i’m looking forward to seeing that. I’m ok with the videogame but I’m happier about the movie because it’s coming in 2009 and Sony said that it will be amazing to see as well as the movie because at the Comic-Con the teaser trailer will be amazing and so will the movie. GB3 will be made in CGI with the Hellbent script that dan wrote and Harold will help him right the script and the CGI script for the movie willl be a blast to see and I’m looking forward to seing that next Summer of 2009!

The Ghostbusters 3 movie in CGI will be amazing to just like the videogame. I’m Very Happy that Sony emeiled me because they knew that I was right. The Hellbent script that dan wrote for GB3 in CGI will be awesome to just like the videogame because some of the Hellbent script will be in the videogame and the rest in the movie. 2009 GB3 in CGI will be here and I’m looking forward to seeing that. I’m not worried about the videogame I’m happy about the CGI GB3 Movie because I’m counting the days when GB3 gets here and it will be here next Summer of 2009!

the message from “Sony Employee” states that they did NOT send any emails to anyone about Ghostbusters 3, therefore all the messages on this board from “SONY” are counterfeit.

gullible maybe a bit unfair, as it could be possible that someone from Sony did send Patrick a message. It does however seem unlikely that Sony would send anyone information about a project that has not yet been confirmed. Otherwise there wouldn’t be much point for the big news on the 26th, they may as well tell everyone now. Thats not to say that an insider wouldn’t spill the beans. But I would just take any information with a pinch of salt and see what happens on the 26th. We can all hope its the news we wanna hear.

we see that there is a great buzz around Ghostbusters 3 and we can confirm that a teaser trailer will be show at comic con at 26 july.
the plot see the 4 gbs transformed in an elastic man (Egon), an invisible woman (Winston), an human torch (Peter) and an ugly giant made of stones (Ray). this transformation is due to cosmic ray irradiation.

Dan aykroyd wrote a Hellbent script for GB3, and He didn’t say anything about this. Are you guys a Spam from being a fake Sony or what.
