the movie represents a great technical achievement. the production, team of 'artists', and the director (for lack of knowledge of the media) have wasted a great opportunity to bring 3d & motion capture to the next level. seems like so much time was spent in modeling, texturing, and getting through the technicalities of motion capture, that they forgot (or payed little attention) to keying effective facial expressions. overall, this movie will mark the beginning of a highly promising medium, but i'm afraid it will be a mark to be soon erased by the next.

I had zero interest in seeing this movie, until they started ripping off 300 in the ads. Now its moved to "probably won't see it, but the idea isn't totally ridiculous". So kudos to the ad team.

Eric, I've been wondering the same thing since I first saw the trailer. The speed at which "Beowulf!" is shouted seems so awkard!
