Crank

Crank is an underrated popcorn action movie. Crank succeeded where Shoot ‘Em Up sometimes failed, keeping the plot light and fun (and don’t get me wrong, I loved shoot ‘Em Up, the film sometimes had an uneven tonal h=style that sometimes reached darker areas than it probably should have). Well it’s now officially official that they are making a sequel. Of course, we all knew this was going to happen long ago when Writer-directors (I like to call them psychotic geniuses)  Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor let word out earlier this year. The film has a new title: “Crank 2: High Voltage”.

Jason Statham has also officially signed on to return as hitman Chev Chelios, who must face a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered artificial ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working. How is that for implausibly clever screenwriting? A chase begins through Los Angeles. I’ve been told that the film will continue seconds after the conclusion of the first film, and that many of the character, including many of the ones that you thought were dead, will also return in this sequel.

I’m very excited for this one, as you can probably tell.

I agree with you 100%. The first film rocked and should definitely be checked out by more people, it’s totally underrated.

I thought he fell a mile or more out of an aircraft and went splat on the ground. Still if Jaws can have a circus tent break his fall or Indiana Jones and his offsiders can plummet in a rubber dinghy into a river…. Just another ‘Oh come on’ moment from Hollywood.

I really enjoyed crank its an excellent fast paced action flick, however I don’t think they should so a sequel. Chev is dead end of story.

Just to let you know and if you actually read the articles, you would see that it’s based of idea he seen on a video someone fell sky diving and landed on the ground then got up and walked he was so jacked on adrenaline.

also there are few ppl who ejected from a plane and lived as well with no shute…

    amazing things do happen

The first one was good, but i think the second one might be a lil far fetched, but still good. But cool tidbit, whenever chev is on his cellphone, pay close attention to the background. When he is in the mall the person he is talking too appears on the wall, and also it happens when he is driving…check out the rear veiw mirrors . its kinda cool. Anyone know where i can get that ringtone??????

at the end of the movie Chet blinks and his heart beats, then the screen goes black…BUT…the production of the second film was inspired a viral video where a man’s parachute fails to deploy and he falls over 1000ft to the ground. the helmet can catches everything and the man survives and walks!!!!
