Harold and Kumar 2 doesn’t know what to call itself. Originally the production went under the title Harold & Kumar Go To Amsterdam, but New Line abandoned that title because, after-all, they don’t actually go to Amsterdam. The sequel follows the cross-country adventures of the pot-smoking duo as they try to outrun authorities who suspect them of being terrorists when they try to sneak a bong on board their flight to Amsterdam. The stoners have a run-in with the KKK, travel to the inner-city where they interrupt a basketball game, before meeting President George W. Bush (possibly in Washington, DC?). And somehow the duo end up in Guantanamo Bay. And that is your new title:
Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay
I’m actually loving it. What do you guys think of the new title?
The movie is set to hit theaters February 8th 2008.

They can call it whatever they like, I just want to see it. I thought the first one was one of the funniest movies I’ve seen recently.

I’m about as liberal as you can get and I think the title is kind of weird and inappropriate.

Just saw the movie and interviewed John Cho. Kal Penn was holed up at Fox Studios filming “House.”
If you thought Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle showed a bunch of stereotypes and making fun of them, then you better fasten your seatbelts and check out the sequel. More stereotypes from Grape Soda and Kool Aid to calling Harold a Hello Kitty Lover. Duh that’s Japanese! Seemed like more of the ethnic crowd was laughing than the anglo crowd. Not sure if it was not knowing what to do. Should I laugh and be considered racist or laugh because it’s making fun of the stereotype?
There’s a lot of dick jokes and all…Get high and stoned then head to the theater and watch “Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay.” You’ll definitely love kickin back with NPH (Neil Patrick Harris).
