Pretty tough to beat the cast and direction in that film. This ain't no Joel Schumacher Batman. The new series is infused with more realism, which tends to make a lot of sense considering that Batman is just a man without any superpowers. "Batman Begins" really started a following in 2005 and I'd look for that to continue and expand considerably with the introduction of the Joker. The film supposedly centers on him and will also show the origins of Two-Face. I can't wait. The only other film which comes close to "The Dark Knight" on my anticipation scale is "Watchmen." But I don't believe that will hit the big screen until '09. "Wanted" from director Timur Bekmambetov, based on Mark Millar's risque' graphic novel of the same title, is a close third.
