More Justice League Plot Details

JLA

Entertainment Weekly has gotten their hands on some Justice League Script details. They have confirmed that all seven original members of the Justice League are featured (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter). But this is something we’ve already known thanks to a previous leak report. But here is the real shocker, EW claims that the movie is “an origins story about the superhero conglomerate” while our previous report led me to believe that the story began years after the JLA had already formed.

The plot revolves around villainous businessman Maxwell Lord and involves cyborgs called OMACs (One-Man Army Corps), who can take over humans and turn them into killing machines. There are epic battles between Superman and Batman, as well as Superman and Wonder Woman.

The magazine also offers a character breakdown, but nothing new is revealed here.

  • I have a hunch that I just read a really, really terrible plot.
  • Chris
The plot doesn't sound particularly original. They should get Hugo Weaving to play an OMAC, he he...
  • zachy Legend
Anyone see that in Entertainment Weekly the Green Lantern is a black dude? can someone explain that?
  • Yes, zachy. For a while in the comics Green Lantern Hal Jordan left Earth and John Stewart, an engineer who happened to be black, took over for Jordan. He's persisted around the comics, was recently in the Justice League until Hal Jordan came back from the dead. and was also used on the Justice League cartoon show.
  • Ras Al Ghul
I can't believe that any story other than "Tower of Babel" could even be considered for a JLA movie. That story is one of the greatest comic book plots of all time. Bar none.
  • jay
i agree with RAS if its gonna be a movie go with the tower of babel plot. but if not i'd still like to see what they come up with
  • OMACs ... hmmmm

That is apart of some of the more recent story lines.

This wouldn't be too far off from Tower of Babel , both play on the paranoia of Batman.

If Wonder Woman kills Maxwell Lord and Batman is found to be responsible for the OMACS and Brother Eye, this could get very interesting very quickly.

They should stick to the Year One origins and exclude the trinity. The line-up should be Barry, Hal, Arthur, J'onn and Dinah. They shud utilise the appelexian story but put a twist on it by making the aliens be residents of Apokolips. That way, they can end the movie by staging for a sequel that would require the big guns.
