Transformers 2 Screenwriters Confirmed

Transformers

Good News: They are making Transformers 2.

Bad News:  Ehren Kruger and the writing team of Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are in talks to write the screenplay. Kruger’s scriptology consists of mostly bad horror films: Scream 3, The Ring, The Skeleton Key, The Brothers Grimm, Blood and Chocolate and Reindeer Games. Kurtzman and Orci are (f course) the team that were largely responsible for the first film, which may be a bad or good thing depending on your viewpoint.

Honestly, I enjoyed Transformers quite a bit. I like the comedy angle that Kurtzman and Orci brought to the film. But I think anyone would agree that there was a bunch of things not to love in terms of the script (that whole ebay plot line). But the first film had to serve a bigger function: to appeal to everyone, and introduce us to the characters and robots. A second film would likely require less exposition (which should be a good thing).  Kurtzman and Orci are getting a lot of flack from other online websites. But I have really liked their past work on Mission: Impossible III, Alias, and even Bay’s The Island (am I the only one who had fun in that flick?). And these are the same guys writing Star Trek for JJ Abrams.

Will. The director told the press that they would be leaking false information as to keep the true script a secret, even from the actors that are in the film. If you heard that megatron is going to be in the next Transformers, that could be true, but I think they'll make starscream the new leader because going back and resurrecting all the transformers from the first movie would be really borring.

SBleed hate to say it (though no one can be for certain) but there was a story line leek and i found it on a few sites but megaton does supposedly get resurrected. i cant say this for sure but i wouldn't doubt it would happen i mean whats the point of transformers without having megatron and prime fighting.

I am really looking forward to the Transformers sequel. My son loves the first movie, and I’m glad they made such a cool show available to a new generation. I grew up on Transformers, and though I am disappointed with the changes they made to the storyline, I understand that it was necessary. Jay (above) had some very good points, but he did forget that Soundwave IS in the first movie. He’s the little silver guy that runs around with Barricade. Unfortunately I don’t think they would try to go as far as resurrecting Megatron for the sequel, they’ll just promote Starscream to be the new leader. If you watched the credits in the first one, they make a point to show Starscream flying away into the stars, leaving the movie wide open for a sequel with Starscream being the main bad guy. It would be cool to see DEVESTATOR, but they killed one of the Destructacons in the first movie, BONECRUSHER was killed by Optimus Prime in the freeway scene, so that idea’s shot to hell. I think if they did bring in any of the really big Transformers, they would probably use Trypticon, Metroplex, or maybe even Galvatron, but that’s just what I would assume. Either way, I think Transformers is an awesome movie, and Transformers 2 will probably be even better. I CAN’T WAIT!!!

In Transformers 2, Megatron should be able to transform into any object regardless of shape or sizes because of the contact he encountered with the allspark from the first Transformers.
With this shape changing concept he can turn into the gun.

I liked this film. It Looked awsome. It was not bad for a hollywood sell out. I was concerned they would butcher the story much worse but they did ok. It did follow the cartoon pretty good we had Starscreem Mega trons bitch, we had energon cube's well one{offspark} they are here for the cube basicaly the same idea. They have to have the cars be all GM being that they want to get paid. wich it really dos not matter they have to update them anyway. How would star scream look if he turned in to a an F-15 from 1984? they used newer veichals and they made there money at the same time. They dont want to get rights from Porsce for Jazz and Vw for bumble bee its just easier to sign one contract. I feel they should have made the heads look more like the orignal guys Prime is really the only guy who looks like Prime every other robot you cant tell who they are. but whatever as long as they stick to the story. Transformers 2 well they killed Mega Tron maybe we will see his Resrection to Galvatron!? who knows. Bay said somthing about that he had ideas that he wanted to do a huge robot that he didnt do in the frist film, maybe we will see all the Destructacons Form DEVESTAOR that would be awsome. Oh and at one point Mega Tron does turn into a gun looked like glavtron like a tripod cannon before he shoots Prim in the city. and Hes Mega tron if he truned in to a small pistol it would be dumb. I hope to see Sound Wave, skyfire and grimlock in the next movie... but I doubt it.

I liked The Island, too. I really don't see why people hated it so much. However, it was no Transformers!

I hated the production design - why does Prime have lips? And the semi chosen as Prime's body was awful. Why is Megatron not a gun? I can live with bumble Bee not being a VW I suppose - but there is so much I was disappointed with in the movie. Where is James cameron when you need him?
  • This Movie is fun and interesting. I went to see it From thailand.
  • orange: Not necessarily, but it was a remake. And it's probably easier to write a remake a good japanese than create a good original film.
