Joe Nussbaum

Remember the cute short film George Lucas in Love? It was a promising first effort. What if I told you that the guy who made that short went on to direct a few crappy pre-teen and high school films? Well it happened. Lucas in Love launched Joe Nussbaum into a career in Hollywood, and so far he’s made Sleepover, Sydney White, and a crappy direct-to-dvd American Pie sequel.

And now the trades say he’s signed on to direct B.F.F., a story of two friends, a guy and a girl, over four years of high school, four proms and one funeral as they become unlikely best friends and eventually fall in love.

W.T.F.

Joe, please, we know you are capable of so much more than this. You showed such promise. The definition of Hack is “To work for Hire”, remember that.

And for those who are interested, you can watch George Lucas in Love after the jump.

    Peter,

I don’t understand. . . . why is this reprehensible? I agree that the title sounds lame, but the plot sounds nice. A guy in a girl fall become friends and fall in love.

Does it have to be an off-beat horror films or +lesbian werewolf talwin your endorsement?

    Kestrel,

I’m glad you think that a generic homogenized teen movie is better than a off beat indie love story with levels of depth.

PS Intellengant arguments mean that you must understand what you’re talking about, which obviously you still do not. The Lesbian werewolf movie is not a horror film but a love story.

Love story? More like a lust story. . . The teen movie at least begins with friendship.

You are right I don’t know much about the werewolf movie, the director, what he should or should not be. I just think its sad when critics fault a normal plotline and sing about anything that is “different” claiming that it has “depth” just because of its bizzare plot.

Kestral…please stop abusing/polluting the comment boarrds with your idiocy…some of us on this site don’t like crappy movies and rather enjoy to watch good ones…if you want to read about new American Pie sequals and hear more about Mr. Woodcock….I’m sure MTV has some message board you can piddle about in and meet other like minded buffoons in…but please stop posting your garbage.

RE3 sucks…MR. Woodcock sucks…D-War sucks…Shoot ‘Em Up sucks…Balls of Fury Sucks…everything with the title American Pie this century sucks…get over it

    Oh…and a side note…I really liked that short…

C’mon man, we are all entitled to our opinion and like Peter always says, make sure you have something of an argument.

What I find fault in is people saying that a movie sucks and don’t bother to take the time and argue why.

Which is why I posted on this thread. I don’t like movies such as American Pie or Mr. Woodcock, however, its not clear to me that this movie, a lame title with a normal plot, just sucks at first glance.
