Juno

Here’s the standard recap: I saw Juno at the Toronto Film Festival and in my review I said that it was “the best movie of the year (so far)” and it is this year’s “Little Miss Sunshine”. You may as well find another website to read if you want to avoid an overload in Juno news in the next couple months before the film is unleashed upon the world. Festival screenings have pushed the film to a 9.1 rating on IMDb, and 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

I now present you with four new video clips from Juno for your viewing pleasure after the jump.

I Didn’t Know She Was Sexually Active: Juno (Ellen Page) tells her mother (Allison Janney) and father (J.K. Simmons) that she’s pregnant. Juno’s best friend Leah (Olivia Thirlby) backs her up.

Like The City In Alaska: Juno (Ellen Page) and her father (J.K. Simmons) visit the married couple who are interested in “adopting” Juno’s unborn child.

It’s Not Set In Stone: Vanessa and Mark Loring (Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman) show Juno (Ellen Page) some of the babygoods they have bought in preparation for Juno’s childbirth.

I Think I’m In Love With You: This is probably the funniest clip, but it’s also something close to the film’s conclusion. Juno (Ellen Page) tells Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera) that she loves him.

I find the character incredibly irritating.
Jennifer garner looks great, but Michael Cera looks like the best actor here. Very subtle and endearing. Michael that is…not Juno.

I was also incredibly offended by the get a baby in China dialogue.
I adopted from china, and it was a very long and difficult process. The Chinese government is actually very strict and thorough. Angelina Jolie couldn’t just walk in and pick out the cutest baby, and walk out. Meg ryan even had to go through the process like a regular Joe Shmoe. So, I am sick of being the brunt of some one’s joke.

i love the actor that used to be George Micheal from Arrested Development, its nice to see him and his old tv dad together.

I was just kind of coerced into seeing Juno by some friends not really knowing what it was and I was so glad I did because I was really impressed. I think Ellen Page is a very talented actress. It’s such a witty and engaging movie with an amazing soundtrack. If you haven’t seen it…you need to!

    Michelle-
I’m sorry you were offended, but i think every film has SOMETHING which will offend somebody. I’m a religous Jew and I am sometimes extremly offended by the way Jews are portrayed out there. Want to see offensive? Check out Germany’s portrayal of the Jews before the Holocaust (in the newspapers and stuff)- dirty, ignorant, a disease on humanity. Sometimes, it doesn’t seem much better nowadays- like Fiddler on the Roof, where the Rabbi is made out to be a doddering old fool.
