I know we told you that it would be online earlier this month, but now Donnie Darko director Richard Kelly assures us that the trailer for Southland Tales will be “released this week in a very big way.” Whatever that means. We’ve been looking forward to this for a while now.

Kelly has also officially launched Darko Entertainment, which aims to back “modestly budgeted, director-driven films.” The first project without Kelly attached will be in association with Killer Films.

Abe Sylvia’s Dirty Girl is a comedic story of the search for identity and the redemptive power of unexpected friendship. Danielle is the dirty girl of Norman High School.  When Danielle’s misbehavior gets her banished to special ed, she teams up with an innocent closet-case and together they head out on a road trip to discover each other and themselves through a funny and serendipitous friendship.
