Hack action director Rob Cohen has posted the first photo of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor on his production blog.
I don’t understand why anyone is still interested in this series? Rachel Weisz dropped out, Jet Li is the new Mummy, the story sounds really, really lame, and oh yeah, the guy who did Stealth is directing.

one of my favorite franchises ruined. would’ve been better to end with “returns”. no sommers, no weisz, and a horrible title. nothing can save this…

I’ll check it out just for Jet Li… after it comes to the dollar theater though.

they could have slowed the series down
the first was great! funny , well paced, great charaters with time to actually have snappy dialog
the second could have avoided “quick! to the next action sequence”
just have the events leading to the mummy returning with more time for story and characters
3 could have then been the scorpion king comeback..
ah well

oh no! why do i feel that this movie isn’t going to have the same magic like the 2 other mummies.
Plus i’m going to miss Racheal Weiz since she clearly knows how to play her character. But any way lets see how the movie goes.

I can’t wait for this movie! i think it looks amazing and I think they were smart to change up the direction of the plot and bring something new to the table. The old plot was getting kind of repetative and boring, in my opinion. So, I’m really excited for the change of scenery and the awesome plot line! I mean, how can you go wrong with Jet Li? the guy’s amazing!
