There Will Be Blood

Sorry for the lack of updates as of late, but we’re in Canada for the Toronto Film Festival. So excuse me for cutting this short. The new movie trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood. This film looks very old school intense.

Based on Upton Sinclair’s novel Oil, There Will Be Blood is a story about family, greed, religion, and oil, centered around a turn-of-the-century Texas prospector (Daniel Day-Lewis) in the early days of the business.

The new trailer also announces that the film will feature “Original music by Jonny Greenwood” (of Radiohead fame). Check it out after the jump.

  • Apart from this being an outrage, it looks good. That kid who plays the healer is good remember him from little miss sunshine? I always thought Daniel Day-Lewis would make a great batman, a la the Dark Knight Returns. With Vincent Cassel as the Joker. Anyway, oil, its a bull market so buy buy buy. Its good for ED too.

    Considering how good Lewis was in another period piece in Gangs of New York I wouldn't be surprised to see this as a great movie.
  • are you ready for a mind bender? daniel day lewis gets into your head in this one.AS usual. you will be on the edge.waiting for his unpredictable behavior.intense music score. religion. power .aggresive thoughts coupled with a beautiful but very weird father son relationship.lots of inner demons oozing out of this film. do not hesitate to go see.     Best movie I have seen in a long time. Very intense. Outstanding acting on the part of Daniel Day Lewis. He did not have a gentle bone in his body...........his eyes and demeanor took you inside of his head - such a mean, nasty, ugly person. He wasn't even true to his own son, and used him to get ahead in the oil business. I could go on and on about the various plots that twisted and turned throughout the movie. Excellent in every way, including scenery, backgroud sounds and music, etc. etc.
