[...] ain’t it cool is the worst site ever. they get the occasional “scoop” every once in a while, which normally turns out to be bull shit. actually, now that u mention it, the whole internet is fucking terrible. it’s just a bunch of fucking ass holes, all re-reporting the same fucking shit, over and over and over.
This book is great. It references a bunch of characters from Less Than Zero (seeing as its in the same place and time), and has that kind of feel to it, though its mainly from adults that we gain perspective in this book, if I remember correctly. The ending was so fucked up. I hope all of Ellis' movies get made, exceot for American Psycho and Rules of Attraction, which are good enough to be set in stone.

I want to become a filmmaker, and always thought Less Than Zero would be an incredible movie if done right. The only thing I liked about the movie from the 80s was Downey Jr. he was incredible, as usual

What a coincidence, I'm currently reading this book (only Ellis I haven't read) and was just thinking what a good movie it could make. I'm skeptical about Thornton, but the rest are all great choice, I feel. Hopefully this will be a "Rules of Attraction" type-adaptation and not a "Less Than Zero" one.

The majority of the book is a horror story that features an "alternate universe" version of Ellis as the protagonist. His work is referenced, and knowing this makes the reading experience richer, but it's not essential at all. I think it could be distilled into a great film.

The book is definitely worth picking up too!

I havent read Lunar Park, but I always got the impression that it would be impossible to make into a movie considering all the inside references to his other books. Am I wrong?

This is the only Easton Ellis novel I haven't read - but based on that information i'm very excited.

Now all we need is Roger Avery to make good on his Glamorama promise and someone like John Maybury to helm Lunar Park for an absolutely stellar book to film success ratio :)
