Okay, so I open up my e-mail and there is a message from a Chicago spy who has chosen to spill the beans on all sorts of plot points for The Dark Knight, Christopher Nolan’s upcoming Batman Begins sequel.
So the question is, should I post them? I don’t even know if they are legit, but this guy has been dead on in the past. But for now the following information must be taken as rumor. There is some pretty major stuff being revealed: Deaths, Transformations, and stuff that I’ve never even seen mentioned on the internet forums. After some deliberation, I’ve decided that information should be free. And so you will find these juicy Dark Knight tidbits after the jump.
But before I get to the spoilers, let me first say that the main cast from The Dark Knight should be appearing unannounced at Wizard World Chicago this weekend so we should know a lot more come Monday.
WARNING: Beware, Spoilers are below. So if you don’t want to know, don’t read any further.

- When The Joker (Heath Ledger) kidnaps Rachael Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal) from a big party, Dawes is forced to reveal Batman’s true identity, Bruce Wayne. Later, however, The Joker becomes convinced that Dawes lied to him when he encounters both Bruce Wayne and Batman in the same room together simultaneously. I have no idea how Bruce pulls this off. I would assume that if a Batman impostor exists, Joker would likely be in on that joke. This causes Joker to think that Bruce Wayne is NOT Batman and that Rachel, in fact, lied to him… His accusation of her deception doesn’t end well.
- Apparently there is an impostor posing as Batman who is running around Gotham City. The cops believe he is the real Batman and that he is on their side. How this plays into the big story is unknown. I know that this may seem very unlikely and improbable, but my source has not been wrong yet.
I will return on Thursday night/Friday morning with a couple more juicy tidbits (did someone say Two Face details?). If anyone has any more information, please e-mail us.

You just got snookered. The author of those “spoilers” is likely the same guy who was busted at SHH and run off for peddling the same exact bs.

If they are using The Long Halloween as inspiration. It would follow that Harvey Dent is allied with Batman and might even be posing as him.

well this would make sense and fits perfectly if you remember when Michael Anthony Hall was cast (the guy from The Dead Zone TV show) it was STRONGLY rumored that he was going to be playing a “batman wanna be imposter”

You’re a fake. Period. No one in their right mind will take this hack seriously. I doubt this is the real deal VERY strongly.
Pay no attention to this Batman fans. THe author is a liar and a dumbass. No merit or any sense at all fot that matter.

Victor, the photos and set reports that leaked in the last couple months have proved 65% of this to be true so far.

did you notice in the new trailer that Gordon was the one who broke the bat signal?
wonder if those 2 will have a falling out

This is sort of proving to be at least partially accurate.
There ARE impostor Batmans (Batmen?) running around the film. If you don’t believe that, you should look for some leaked pictures. I have seen one where there a quite a few Batman impostors sitting against a wall, and another where the ‘Begins’ suit Batman (which is likely the real Batman) stands right behind another impostor, who holds some sort of gun.
The suit change is tied directly with the plot. With all the Batman impostors running around, the Batman image loses trust with the public. (This is also seen in the new trailer; someone with an ax smashing the bat-signal) Bruce Wayne needs to adopt a newer suit to distinguish himself as the real deal. From what I expect, he changes suits about half-way through the movie.
What I have stated is purely speculation, but the Batman impostors are fact. They WILL be significant in this film. Will they be hired by the Joker? Or are they just vigilantes?

I’m tired of all this mess! I wanna see the movie… NOW!!!

An imposter Batman… oh what a wonderful role for Harvey Dent, a.k.a. total schizo Two-Face. It makes perfect sense. As Harvey Dent, he is a district attorney on the side of the law… as imposter Batman, he would be defiant of the law through vigilantism. Yes, this makes sense, logical, flawless. And as Two-Face dwelves into madness, he would definality abuse the Batman stature. Mmmmmm…. nice twist. Why so serious? hahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I heard that somewhere in the middle of the movie, dead baseball players walk out of a cornfield in Iowa…

Ed is correct about the suit change: Bruce dips it in liquid titanium (which will give it the silver/gray hue). There are also white “lenses” that will “flip” down over Bruce’s eyes to give him night-vision (and the appearance of “white” eyes).

Harvey Dent is running around as Batman. THAT is why Bruce and Batman are at the same place. This plot gets dumber and dumber the more that I find out.
I have a feeling all this hype will lead to much disappointment this summer.

maybe the funeral is for commish Loeb from the first movie

Word is that Harvey Dent will be the imposter which I agree will play apart in his downfall into the form of two-face. Also it is said that Anthony Michael Hall has a secret to reveal and that he becomes aware of Batman’s real identity. Also I am confused why William Fichtner just makes a cameo at the beginning, I would be on close lookout for him to be either an imposter or the riddler.

I belive that most these rumurs are true
yea it would make for a cool movie
I am a huge fan of Batman
but why do they have to do some weird plot that has nothing to do with any comic book story
like spiderman the first movie
spider man an the green goblin fight
thats it
July 16th, 2008 at 11:00 pm
just saw the movie! I loved it! Dont really follow the comics so not sure how true it is to that but it is awesome. Also the spoilers above were all fake and just speculation.

it was rumored that Fox develops a technology that is used to track all areas where there is a cell phone using some sort of Sonar capabilities, and he helps Wayne locate Joker by using the technology…leading to the public or police to become upset, leading to a forced resignation of Fox from Wayne Enterprises.
Also,
it appears that Joker lives at the end, as Two-face appears to be dead, and Gordon and Batman are involved in some sort of cover-up over the death, and they decide that the public will learn that Batman killed Dent, tarnishing his image, leading Wayne to become vigilante in film 3.

I like how “Jake”’s name is in quotes there. Very nice.
Yes quite a few of us saw the movie at the end of may/early July. It happens. It’s called a premier. : ) Lots of people do it.
I waited to post on here until after the official opening of the movie…I wouldn’t able to resist spoilers!
I thought it was really great and after briefly speaking with Christian Bale, I realized that the actors didn’t seem to mind the buzz about Heath Ledger’s death. They seem to have this understanding between each other. I personally agree; his performance was outstanding and outshone all the others. They were great, of course, but Ledger’s Joker really takes the cake!
Everyone should go see this movie. : )
