NY Magazine has obtained the call-sheet for the JJ Abrams produced top secret monster movie code-named Cloverfield/1-18-08. The call sheet for “day 33 of 33″ of shooting appears to reveal the film’s opening scene, ending, and an alternative ending (both of which appear to be very similar on the call sheet). Warning: Do not click on the image to the right or read any further, if you don’t want to know what happens.

NY Magazine also mentioned /Film in their report:

On Monday night, blog /Film reported on a scene in which principal characters Rob and Beth (played by unknowns Michael Stahl-David and Odette Yustman) are buried in debris while hiding under a bridge, and speculated that this could be the movie’s conclusion. From the looks of Monday’s call sheet, it just might be.

But the question is: couldn’t this call-sheet be a planted fake? It certainly sounds like something JJ Abrams and crew might do. And it seems too coincidental that the magazine was easily able to obtain the call sheet so easily from a set which has been sworn to secrecy (even the crew members have been told not to reveal the name of the film). Also, Scene #160 could just be the End of the Central Park sequence, and not the end of the movie. Although, most movies usually have around 150-200 “scenes” in the shooting draft of the screenplay. You can see photos and watch video from this shoot in our previous set report.

According to the call sheet, the production shot a few exteriors on Tuesday, and scene 1 of the movie, which was shot inside the Trump International Hotel and Tower. Basically, Rob moves throughout Beth’s apartment with his handicam. This is apparently how things will begin.

According to this document, as of today, production has wrapped on Cloverfield.

Man, I hope this thing is real. Abrams has been gettin on my nerves with this secrecy thing, so I am glad the secret’s out!

Ray: What secret? That call-sheet didn’t reveal anything substantial other than a number of lame scenes that might or might not be real, much less be the actual ending of this movie.

It’s a prank. The New York Address is actually that of the National Lampoon.

Wow, I linked to your story and the main one at NY Magazine, I didn’t carry any image of the call sheet or further details, and I received a strong lawyers letter from Paramount Pictures lawyer telling me that I could be deemed as carrying copyrighted material.

Have you guys heard anything or was it just me?

Paramount are litigious cunts. I once made a short film with about two seconds of a Spiderman doll in it and they threatened to prosecute me

I would seem that some want to control the information surrounding Cloverfield at all cost. It’s a shame that the call sheet didn’t reveal anymore information to help solve the mystery. Hopefully we will find some meaningful answers soon.

I am not sure why all the fuss. If this movie is real it is simply a re-make of Godzilla or at least that seems to be what they are strongly implying. The fact that they are going through all of this is because who is going to get excited about another classic monster re-make without this level of viral hype. I am fairly sure that hype it is and that the only thing being brought here are modern effects and a somewhat updated storyline. Perhaps Jack Black will be featured in cameo.

I hope I am wrong as the trailer is a bit thrilling.
