Maybe I'm just getting more conservative in my old age. (Well, I'm only 35, but still.) I just don't see what the appeal of these movies is. And, mind, I do like some horror. I liked "The Grudge" films, for example, and I'm semi-looking forward to the remade "Halloween." But these exploitation violence films (and I liken "Saw" to films like "Hostel" and "The Devil's Rejects") seem to say something really ugly about the viewing public.
