[...] More people walked up to the red velvet ropes and were turned away, told to go stand in the eternal line…every once in a while I saw another green ticket…I also saw the Ghostbusters, Darth Vader, Jack Sparrow (this little guy was more Jack than Jack was - what a great attitude), Princess Leia, and more fabulous costumes. Then I saw a woman in a suit with a couple green tickets in her hands. She had a small group of Hollywood execs with her (you SO know the type…don’t even have to elaborate here – lol). They were taking their green tickets and advancing to the red velvet rope. I walked up to the woman, apologized for interrupting, and asked how I could get a green ticket. Initially she pointed me in the direction of the eternal line out in the blazing sun that would have required a trip from the paramedics. However, my persistence and passion for Neil Gaiman’s movies (which Paramount was producing) won her over. As she handed me a green ticket she asked if I was a blogger. Yep, I am…and she asked me to blog about what I thought about Stardust and Beowulf – the 2 movies she was in charge of. That was an easy trade-off – blogging about 2 movies I LOVE in exchange for NOT going to the hospital AND getting a green ticket…I love my magical life (and I love Sara Bordo who is the Executive Director of Interactive Marketing for Paramount Pictures! HUGE thanks Sara.). The red velvet rope was lifted, and just 10 minutes before the show started, I was escorted up to the front VIP section and sat literally rows from the front where I got to see JJ Abrams, Neil Gaiman, Jessica Alba, Dane Cook, and a few surprise guests (including Spock – both of them!!) So I don’t bore you with all the details, there is a great wrap-up of the surprises we got to see here: http://www.slashfilm.com/2007/07/26/comic-con-parmount-panel-iron-man-cloverfield-indiana-jones-4-an...
eheehee thanks so much for posting the audio from the panels!
when you talked about the lonely island (samberg, schaffer, and taccone), you called their old show "The Boo" but it's actually called "The 'Bu"
just in case you were going to edit this at all.
but thanks again! it's so cool to hear these all over again :D

Nice info...

I'm really looking forward to Stardust. Neil Gaiman is a great writer and it great that he had a hand in making this film, and was cool enough to break down the book-to-film ratio of accuracy....80% ain't bad at all!!?!
