Analysis: Fourth Photo Revealed on Cloverfield Website

A fourth photo (seen above) has been added to the 1-18-08.com Cloverfield viral website. The last website photo appeared on Thursday July 12th, which leads me to believe this will become a weekly thing. Let’s first take a look at the first three photos and figure out where the puzzle pieces fit.

Cloverfield Photo #1The original photo shows a close-up of two wide eyed fearful young women at 12:36 am. Some people speculated that the two women were actually the same actress interspliced in photoshop. This does not appear to be true. Some people claim they can see something in between their heads. A monster may-be? How about their hair and a street light. At least one of these young ladies can be seen in the trailer’s party sequence.

Cloverfield Photo #2The second photo shows Rob drinking at his farewell party at 12:01am (35 minutes before the first photo). Notice the intentionally blurred Slusho t-shirt on the guy giving him the drink. This is the same guy who canbe seen in the trailer.

Cloverfield Photo #3The third photograph was posted last week and taken at 12:48am, a whole 12 minutes after the first photo. The first “roar” occurred around 12:30am, and I would venture to guess that the end of the trailer cuts off around 12:35-12:40ish AM. It looks like things get worse, much worse. The photo features a couple women walking through a fog of smoke, covering their mouths, while two men (possibly police or SWAT team) run around in the background. It looks very reminiscent of 9/11. The two women in this new photo are not the two young women from Photo #1, nor were they visible (by my eye) in the Trailer’s party scene. I could be wrong.

Cloverfield Website Photo #4The new photo has a time stamp of 1:24am, which is 36minutes after the third photo. Either the smoke has cleared or are they now in a less effected area. A military officer is seen holding something that looks like a gun (possibly an M4?). The woman to the left is holding her hand to her chest. May-be she’s saying to the office “You talking to me? May-be not. The woman running on the right has colorful pajama like pants, which made me think she might have come from Rob’s party. However, I’ve watched the trailer 3 times now and have found no sign of her at the party.

    I don't get why it's so blurry there seems to be alot of movement yet the lady in the back on the car is not moving much why is she so blurry? and I think the soldier has a patch on his arm which you can't read and also there is some kinda luminous green blue stuff coming off the lady on the car

    the timestamps of all four photos now have multiples of 12 in them.
  • Apparently if anything is colorful and/or has a pattern, it's not a pattern, it's just pajami pants.
  • Is it just me, or does it look like the soldier's spine is showing (in a blurry way, of course)?

    "Lost" using various mathamatical manipulations. 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42.
    First thing to mention here. There are 6 numbers!(Duh!!!) Now: 4, _,8=6
    ( 6 is the even number between 4 and 8 ex: 4,"6?,8 ) 15: 1+5=6(simply
    adding the 1 and 5 together) 16: 1×6=6(no need to explain is there?) 23:
    2×3=6 (get the picture?) 42: 4+2=6... Anytime you see 18(3×6) know
    what you are looking at. Also, the movie title, 01-18-08: 1+1+8+8=18
    which is 6×3. And he produced the ABC drama, Six Degrees. Come on
    people!!! His date of birth is said to be in June of '66. 6/66!

    Picture 2=sight - two women's eyes looking at something
    Picture 3=smell - two women covering their noses
    Picture 4=touch - a woman with her hand over her heart

    The fourth picture is a soilder in fatigues maybe the lady holding her chest is thankful to see the soilder. The common theme is the people don't look like their panicking a whole lot...either this 'moster' strikes and hides leaving behind damage....or these people have no idea what the 'moster' is or the scale or it

    If it were godzilla, people would panic, cause they know who that motherfucker is

    In the first photograph, the one taken with the two girls, look in their eyes. There is an object of some sort. The eyes reveal alot.

  • We found a clever way to clear up the photos. Take a business card and poke a small hole in it with a sharp pencil. Then go to the www.1-18-08.com website and look through the pin hole. It actually gives you a much clearer picture.


    Still do not see anything of value though.

    Are you sure the fourth pic was added on the 12th because the last article posted on this site was on the 18th and im pretty sure the pic wasnt there that day

    The woman on the left of the forth picture looks pregnant to me and that's what's she's holding/clutching.

    Look at u all…What a laugh… First of all the movie wont be released before time even if you know what it is..So watch the trailer (thinking: “what a f*cking great spot!! Its a must see!!!" and WAIT FOR THE MOVIE TO BE RELEASED!!! And second, i dont think it's a monster-remake, like stated in past posts, it a huge risk for a director. If he made Lost, and then f*cks up his rep and name with a monster/remake b-movie..And defently not a LION-Movie!!???!?! WFT?!?!..I wouldn't do that…!!!
  • theGinna, see that weird blue light from her shoulder area on the right? Perhaps she is getting blasted with something and that is a reaction seconds before she is ?. Kind of like the people in WOTW when they get hit with the ray. Split second of "oh crap" and dust.

    The times are all multiples of 6. (So is the date: 18th)

    The Slusho website says over and over, you can't just drink 6.

    Maybe this will all be put together to form 666 and the "Monster"
    is really Satan...

    Still no luck on getting a clear veiw of the eye, but i discovered something else while trying. I copied the 4 pictures from this article and pasted them on to a power point slide. Once i enlarged them i discoved something unusual about the sides of the pictures, they look as if they fit together. Try it for your self and see what i mean.

    In the 2nd photo (the party shot), what's up with the creepy looking guy or gal that is in the right hand side of the photo? A little wicked looking if you ask me.

    I have noticed a lot of people saying that in the trailer they go from watching the explosion on top of their building at the party to going down on the streets. where the staues head rolls. That cant be true because of the distance of the empire state building is clearly different. from on the roof to the street.

    Ok, so I haven't had time to analyze this new photo, but I can tell you this, those things in the eyes of the two frightened girls from the first photo are either street lights.....that, or some more of those freaky fireballs from the initial explosion. And the reason that the whole photo is blurry is because the person TAKING IT is moving

    I'm trying to look at the details within each frame of the trailer- pausing, etc.

    One thing I did notice was the time/temp on the TV news broadcast.

    Time: 12:32am

    Temp: 63

    The number "6" can easily play into these numbers. (12) (3X2) (6X3)

    Perhaps there are clues within The Bible or other Holy books?

    Ch 6 / Verse 6, etc.

    I was trying to locate a calendar in the background... especially on the fridge
    (which happens to have some interesting things attached to it)

    BTW,

    The dude is yelling, "I saw it, it's alive! It's huge!"

    NOT, "I saw it, it's a lion..."

    "ALIVE" not, lion.

    Now, it seems to me that for someone to say, "It's alive" would imply
    something known, but thought to have been dead, or at least rumored to have been alive all along.

    Anyways, the blitz is working. They have our attention!

    In the sign that says "We'll miss you Rob." The words consist of many pictures, perhaps pictures of Rob; couldn't hurt to look and se if they are or are of something else.

    Replying to Rods post, i looked into the bible and decided to read from Revelations chapter 12 verses 3-6 and it speaks of a red dragon with many heads and horns. ive also read chapter Revelations 6:6 and it speaks of a voice in the midst of 4 beasts and in 6:7 says "and when he had opened the 4th seal. I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, come and see" its probably all coincidental but pretty sick if you ask me!

    This scene is outside of a nightclub. the woman on the right is running to the dancefloor before her song is over. The sodlier is night club security (clubbing is dangerous in NYC). The woman on the left is wearing Janet Jackson 'Rythm Nation' clothes. She's embarrased to find out its not 80's. She's asking security if there is a cover charge. Clubs just park fly rides in front to attract business. Its the only logical explanation of this photo.

    It might jsut be me or the way the website is coded, but I noticed that one of the pictures will always rotate clockwise a bit every 6 seconds.

    well its not called monstrous. and jj abrams said yesterday at comic-con that he wanted his own monster (better then godzilla and king kong) so that rules out godzilla, voltron, and sadly cthulu :(

    If you flip the fifth photo over you can see that far and wide are smeared.

    It may be an underwater monster from what i see in the picture of the statue of liberty without a head.... look carefully i the water and you'll see where something might have went through the water to the city.

    Has anyone else flipped over the pictures? I have no clue how I did it, but a few of the pictures flipped over when I clicked em right. They were all white on the back, but I could only get two of em to flip over. Did I miss something?

    Check that: Hold the mouse down and roll it, the back of one says:

    Hey, maybe i'm the last one to notice this, but you can "flip" the pictures on the website by clicking on them and shaking the mouse. There's writing on the back of two of the images... Screenshots:

    As to the Military guy in Fatigues (1:24am photo) The item that people are calling a "spine" is grenade bandoleer. You cannot tell if they are explosive or gas grenades. However notice in the Pic of 12:48am where the two women are covering their nose/mouth, the haze actually looks like the effect of Riot gas and the "cop" on the far left look like he has on a gas mask.
