If harrison Ford aint in the sequals then the heart/soul/magic will be gone! they just wouldnt work. Lucas and Spielberg knew Indy is nothing without that man and they know they would lose half the fan base by taking him out altogether. It's not like they put out half assed work they try very hard and it may not be perfect but if that’s what you expect then you will always be disappointed.
