The movie sucked-ass! J.J. Abrams should be ashamed of himself to say he was ever a Godzilla fan. Glad to see it was not another American wannabe Godzilla flick. Americans don't do well with remakes of any Japanese Anime or live action movies. They have all came out bad. Other than that holding the camcorder thing only worked well in Blair Witch. Wait until this movie comes out on DVD, and even then, I would wait until is goes out of the New Release section to save your money. To start, the graphics sucked, the story was ok and there was more hype in the commercials about it being a giant monster movie. Instead, it was a guy trying to save his girlfriend. This movie is a cheap no thrills adventure.

well, i just googled parasite movie seems the J.J. Abrams trailer on apple.com shows up #3.....thats got to mean something doesn't it. I mean the apple movie site must have submitted some meta data for the word parasite in order for the search engines to pull it up.

and, regarding "slusho!", there is a clue to be found in the "history", i believe. you probably have to be a hardcore "alias" fan to find it, though.

i personally think noriko was killed by the parasite, hence her disappearance. furthermore, i think the "ingredient" is foreign; extraterrestrial.

that's all i can discern, this being the first i've ever heard of "slusho!". i doubt "alias" has any clues anyway, i've watched the scene which mentions the drink and i found nothing in that.

I am definetely thinking Slusho has something to do with it. Note the fact that the Slusho 'company' seems to be based in Japan. Listen to the trailer. 'Rob' is going to Japan.
Coincidence? I think not!

The slusho site seems to provide some potential hints to what type of monster could be involved in the film. In the history section, there is mention of a quest to the deep sea to find the magical ingredient turned a fish into a whale.

Pure speculation but if the site is indeed related to the movie, there are some potential hints about the film. Similar to the fake airline website that came out when Lost first aired, this Slusho site could work in the same manner.

Diving into the "Ethan Haas" propaganda found me a couple good forums that led me to believe the Ethan Haas junk was actually related to an MMO or just an average video game coming out in the next couple of years. Plus the fact that http://www.1-18-08.com and the Ethan Haas sight are hosted by two completely different companies.

Now along those lines http://www.slusho.jp is hosted by Go Daddy, which kinda doesn't tell me a whole lot or lead me anywhere, but http://www.1-18-08.com is hosted by Akamai - http://www.akamai.com/. Which has nothing to do with Go Daddy. And since Go Daddy seems to be mainstream for a hosting company, some average joe could have just scooped up the web address and spent too much time playing around in flash. But who knows, the website could just be a decoy by the JJ Abrams camp or it could be something completely different than what everyone thinks.

Side note: no this has nothing to do with Voltron. I think too many fanboys have left their zippers down too long while watching transformers and now have it glazed on their brain that studios are ready and willing to fulfill their 1980 childhood dreams of turning every 80's cheesy cartoon into a multimillion dollar movie. While there may still be a Voltron movie in the future, this isn't it.

JJ Abrams is a god though, he's figured out how to get more than one genre/group of geeks interested in a movie they know nothing about.

the slusho site and cloverfield seem to be connected...Mike Vogul is wearing a
slusho shirt in the trailer (during the news broadcast-"wanna see whats on the
roof") and on 1-18-08.com, in the party photo, the guy on the left pouring a drink into rob seems to be wearing a slusho shirt as well... the design is blurred but you can sort of make out the the slusho logo (the blue, red, white, color, and shape)
...compare them yourself! slusho.jp and http://www.1-18-08.com/
