 
I want to apologize ahead of time for the abundance of Cloverfield updates on /Film. Aside from it being a slow holiday news week, this seems to be the hot topic on the web. Last I checked Cloverfield was the 40th most searched term on Google.
The Cloverfield viral website 1-18-08.com has been updated with a second photo, taken 35 minutes before the photo of the two wide eyed partygoers. The new photo shows Rob at his going away party (remember, he’s going away to Japan tomorrow). This might even be a still from the teaser trailer which was attached to Transformers. You can drag and drop the photos around the website desktop. I expect more photos will soon appear here in the coming months. You have to give Paramount and more importanly Bad Robot credit for creating this viral buzz around the film.

i’m not sure they needed a viral marketing campaign in the first place,
that trailer was amazing in its own right. anyone else who saw
transformers; were there screams of outrage in your theater when no
title was given?

Mike: Those are obviously two different girls. The noses don’t match up. The eyebrows are diferent. The skin tone is different. also the girl on the right has fuller lips then the girl on the left. How are so many people coming to the conclusion it’s the same girl? Try looking at the photo before you photoshop it.

Lucin, the problem is, I’ve seen the photo shop, it’s pretty convincing, but that’s a psychological thing, the human mind will make it into one face, even if they’re totally different, because you’re seeing it as one face… It’s much more obvious when they’re split, the skin tone, the mouth arc, the eyebrows… as one face, it looks some how “right” even if they’re two different women…

OK…well here you go…do you think that with as ingenious as jj is that he would make like this not seem identical. Think about it. Look at the LOST story. EVERYTHING means something. He had to know that SOMEONE would take the 2 halves and make it one. SO I was the first and you are critizing it…Just beacuse you didnt come up with it first…doesnt make it not real. What are your logical objections…..? skin tone…its called photoshop…if you want me to make them identical then just ask ill send you the photo………………..

Tell you what Mike. When the movie release and it show the girl standing beside herself, then I’ll admit your right. But think about this logically here. This is a movie, not a single picture. Would you really go through the entire movie, photoshoping every frame to make the girl look different and then photoshoping her into the same scene with herself?

To elaborate a little. What I mean is, they are obivously not supposed to be twins. If they were and didn’t have a twin then photoshoping her in would be an acceptable idea. But seeming as they are obviously not supposed to be twins and if they are in more then a small section of one scene, then it’s more cost effective to get another actor to just stand beside her. Now say they are just there to look scared in a small section of a scene then your right, it could be the same girl.
I personally doubt it.

I agree with Anne on this one. It looks like they got close enough to eachother, and what your seeing is nothing more then the light coming through where it can.

I have actually printed out the picture and cut it to put the halves together.
I found that it cannot be a split image because her left eye is actually different.

Okay heres the deal.
There are tons of numbers in the second picture. If you take the picture and turn it upside down. On the freaky chicks shirt there is a 9 upside down it’s a 6
the “ss” in miss you become 5’s
The L’s in We’ll become 77’s(or 1’s)
the E becomes 3 theres also a Hidden “2″ in the 3 if you zoom in.
what does it all mean… I dunno. (also the freaky chick is NOT in the Trailer.. she was photoshoped in later…)
Now on to the Slusho website. if you take the 6th sentence from all of the stuff under history you get this..
“tragedy Struck, he is very big. He decided to make his mothers dream live.” or something like that.

NICE work on the freaky chic…I am willing to bet its the same girl in the first pic. and in response to everything been said about her eyes…one is swollen from crying and one is not…think about it…half of her is red / swollen / makeup is running / obviously scared and in terror…while the other is calm clean paler skin. Maybe a clone….maybe the parasite makes copies of us? its a stretch but hey…its worth a look at it…

The new pic as suspected will yeild very little. Although it is peculiar that it is so bright. Almost like FOG instead of debris or smoke. It just seems like too much light for me to beleive it is a night time photo. Althogh the time stamp says differently.

Because that is clearly not what Abrams wants…otherwise he would have just told us the name…if your head wasnt so far up your @$$ then you would realize that he is creating the hype intentionally to spread talk about his film. hey if you click and drag the picture and do it in sort of a flick and let go the picture spins around to the back side and has a message.. i dont know if it has any significance but you can flip all of them but only the 2 from the party have messages.

if you look at the poster for the movie you can get a lot out of it…maybe. Look at the water in the picture, the smooth portion in the middle has recently been disturbed and goes right towards the city. Most often large ships leave that kind of wake but who knows sea creatures could to.

If you muck with the pictures for too long you eventually might lose one and it won’t come back until you reload the screen. One time I lost the new sushi guy off the right side and another time it was the two girls crying off the bottom. Wierd.

if you mess with the pics you can flip them over. click and hold the pic and move your mouse like you would flip the pic. some have stuff on the back. also new pic today
