It is a michael bay film as it having a large storyline and little plot but it delivers differently. It comes across as real to the characters as it does the audience. You don't know what will happen next. just sit back and watch it unfold. Old school fans would probably like a heavier plot driven story about "the" transformers rather then them coming into the real world with more time on the human story. But honestly this is brilliant in it's own right. The transformers are awesome. There personalities are very real and funny. You want think of them as computer generated additions to the film. You'll go wow there incredible. By the way this trailer is great shows much more of what u'll see in the movie.
