45 Photos from Michael Bay’s Transformers

Transformers

Paramount/Dreamworks has released the final batch of Transformers production photos. So we have decided to post everything that has been released thus far (officially, at least). You can browse through the 45 Photos after the jump. Some are new, while others are old. You can even click on most of them to see the photo in super high resolution. We can’t wait until the night of July 2nd, when Michael Bay’s Transformers is finally unleashed. Until then, we’ll just be looking at these photos.

  • Looks great!!

michael bay is the wrong guy for this storyline. blatant product placement just to fund the film? c'mon man, who were you doing a favor there, eh bay? eh stevie? just typical of a bunch of capitalistic ass clowns to ruin the one chance at taking a significant story and turning it into something timeless and classic, but rather turning it into a quick money maker for hollywood. don't believe me? if you are a TF fan like me, then you know the story, the history, what it all really meant to you, as a story, as a modern mythology dare i say. how then, would it look like, if peter jackson found some cheesey ass way to include product placement in the lord of the rings? sounds totally dumb right? well then, wtf does it have to do with TF? a mountain dew robot? a scene about asking for a VISA credit card? the GM car thing is just about tolerable, but the rest is just ridiculous. i wonder what star wars would have looked like with boeing and nasa logos all over the place? damn, its stuff like this that really makes me hate hollywood, spielberg, and anyone else who takes advantage of something like this. oh well, money must be made, eh bay? eh stevie?
  • Oh, c'mon, it's just Transformers. To say TF is a 'modern mythology' is like saying The Simpsons is a work of art. Bleh. This movie is pure action, nothing else. Sure, it may contain tons of product placements, but then what doesn't these days? Heck, even video games have blatant advertising. If you don't take the subject matter too seriously you may end up enjoying this movie.

I agree Doug C. It was simply a non-stop action thriller..best movie I have seen in a long time..it brought back good memories of being a kid turned into real life.
who cares if there was a mountain due robot. eventhough we only saw it for a second it Was just as kick asss as the rest of the movie. I mean clearly it should have been a Pepsi Robot. But I'm not complaining. Point is there is always going to be advertising and all I can say is at least they can do it in style.
Great Movie!! I recommend everyone see's it.
  • Isn't there suppose to be more bad guys? All you have are Megatron, Starscream

,Blackout, and Frenzy. Wasn't there an armor tank an a police car?
  • Was Frenzy in the cartoon?
  • Janet D
    well i loved it!!!!!!!
seen it 3 times already!! :D
  • GHOSTFACE
Oh I hope no one was kidding when they spoke of more installments being made. Gods. . . what a great film. It was both exciting and nostalgic all at the same time.
To answer a couple of questions here. Yes, there was a tank (Devastator) and a police car (Barricade) fighting for the decepticons. Scorpinok there was as well, in the desert. Also, yes. . .Frenzy was in the cartoon; he was one of Soundwave's ejectable cassettes along with Rumble, Ravage, & Rat Bat. I cannot begin to say how loud I would cheer if I actually got to see my main decepticon (Soundwave) on the big screen.
These TF's looked different, but they were done well enough to be able to put that well aside. It was also thrilling to actually SEE Cybertron, if only for a scene, and when Starscream landed, chaingunned, then took back off from the street, I jumped up and yelled! Grand. . . just grand. Nice to see him actually kicking some and not sniveling behind Megatron as he always did before.

Great movie and yes Frenzy was in the cartoon. Although he was not exactly in the same form as in the movie, Michael Bay was interviewed about Soundwave being in it and he said, "Soundwave is a much larger character for this movie. He needs to be explored more and not given a small role as the rest of the decepticon flunkies have. I hope I am given a chance to do another movie so I can bring his character to life!" Frenzy was a great character though in my opinion! I didn't mind the product placement at all. I went to see TF for the action and struggle between the Decpticons and Autobots. Did you really think they would get away with not having product placement in such a modern day movie? If so, then how realistic would it have been? Even back in the early to mid 80s we knew Bumblebee was a VW Beetle! Product placement has been around for years.. it's what brings us closer to that universe. My kids loved the movie and I don't think they blinked once while watching it! After it was over, do you think they were talking about all the GMC cars and Pepsi stuff? Nope! They were all chatting about who their favorite robot was! 'Nuff said!

Well after going to the cinema 3 times to see it i can officially say that it is probably up there [in my opinion] with scarface and jay and silent bob strike back, i haven't seen a film THIS good in a very long time!
There are 8 Deceptacons to 5 Autobots, just to clear up any confusion, and yes Frenzy was in a few of the cartoons, but not as a deceptacon, he was a mini bot, so neutral, but you know that already lol!

anyways guys i hope that all of u anjoyed the film
did anyone notice that when bumblebee was priced at 5k, the salseman, tried to flogg off a yellow VW beetle, little in joke aswell, oo and the porche garage, from jazz's original car, not the pontiac/saleen [dunno which one he was] lol
  • Tom
ok my bad, scrap my frenzy comment
  • Shamus O'toole
I loved this flick! Slo-Mo Rocket jumping, Optimus Kicking ass on the freeway, Mega tron ripping Jazz in two! Everything was good but for the boy meets girl scenes. But the flick was great
  • DeadDoll
I thought the movie kick Cybertonium ass. My only disapointments were the fact that prime only had a faceplate when he was in battlemode. And Megatron was not voiced by Frank Welker. DAMN YOU BAY. DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL! But I persevered. Hugo Weaving gave an awesome performance as Megatron. And when I saw prime on screen for the first time, words like "Wer're gonna need a bigger boat" and "That's not a moon. That's a Spacestation" came to mind. But even they didnt give it justice.

As for the music. Holly-mother-of-jesus-sandles. Steve Jablonsky is a God. The score was perfect.

I would like to clear up a little matter. for those of you who have seen the film and believe Megatron is dead. Think again. Any G1 fa wll tell you. "Megatron is NOT easily defeated"

How many time's in the cartoon has Megatron been believed to be dead?

I think we can look forward to a fight between Megatron and Starscream in tf2. I mean with Starscream being the only known survivor. I dont think Megatron is going to hand over his crown that easily. Do you?

Jazz didn't deserve to die . In the video game his my favorite character.

I also like the part where Ironhide was making the flips to dodge the missils. This movie kicks ***. But its just a movie. Everybody knows that vehicules will never be able to transform int Gigantic killer bots. The movie itself is good but in reality: no

Ok Actually, Barricade is Also Alive, And Im Going Off Of What Dead Doll Said.. And tf2 is Most Likley going To Happen, and if you pay attention at the end of the movie where optimus makes his broadcast, think about it, autobots arte not the only ones that can pick up on it..

But other than that the movie freakin rocked i mean could you ask for anything better? and regardless of what you say about product placement, michael bay or anything.. if they wouldve gotten anyone else the movie MIGHT not be as great as it was. so =P
