The trailer for Pixar’s 2008 movie Wall-E is attached to Ratatouille. But you don’t have to wait until June 29th to see it. Check it out after the jump.
Official plot synopsis: The year is 2700. WALL•E, a robot, spends every day doing what he was made for. But soon, he will discover what he was meant for. From Academy Award®-winning director, Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo), WALL•E is the story of one robot’s comic adventures as he chases his dream across the galaxy. Wall-E will hit movie theaters on June 27th, 2008.
I think this looks like the most interesting Pixar film yet. I wish they included more footage, but I guess that’s why they call this a teaser. You can also check out the new trailer in high definition: 480p, 720p, 1080i.

Awesome, Stanton perfectly exploited the vast ocean milieu for Nemo. And now he has outer space for Wall-E . This looks exciting!

wall-e’s eyes look like a trow-back to johnny 5. a tribute maybe?
June 16th, 2007 at 10:14 am
lol that was the first thing I thought of as well..definitely an homage to Johnny 5 and E.T. They anthropomorphised the robot with the usual ‘cute’ large big eyes and child-like voice (although I hope wall-e doesn’t talk like that throughout the movie).
I wish I could have been at that meeting..I’d love to have seen the ideas they were tossing around.

YOU THINK IT LOOKS LIKE THE MOST INTERESTING MOVIE YET ?????
yes i see with the 3 seconds of footage that was there i guess that would be a good assumpiton.
June 16th, 2007 at 12:14 pm
Do you have a problem?
June 16th, 2007 at 12:59 pm
Didn’t dreamwerx already do a robot movie. “Robots” anyone? Cars sounded bad enough… but i like the voice! I hope it DOES talk like that allthroughout

Summer movies:
Michael Moore’s film “Sicko” = content that address tough issue
Pixar’s Wall-E = fluff to distract the masses

Wow… over 10 years of films planned at a lunch
June 16th, 2007 at 1:39 pm
I can’t wait to see some of the films they planned at the dinner that must have followed that lunch :P
June 16th, 2007 at 1:40 pm
I agree with dumpsterdog, this movie reminds me of short circuit “johnny five”. In fact, maybe they can throw in a tribute to batteries not included, terminator, and robocop while they are at it….
June 16th, 2007 at 1:42 pm
Hey Pete, forget the dinner, I wanna know what they planned on the shitter after the next day. That is where the BIG money ideas are gonna come from! You wait and see.
June 16th, 2007 at 2:41 pm
Actually I think it sounds like a good movie.I’ve always thought that when teaser’s only show a little bit that usually means we are in for a surprise.

“And according to Time Magazine, Lucasfilm sound designer, Ben Burtt, will electronicaly voice the main robotic roles.”

“Didn’t dreamwerx already do a robot movie. “Robots†anyone?”
Maybe showing that Wall E has been on the back burner for over 10 years proves they aren’t making a knock-off Dreamworks flick.
Dreamworks is the company that has a hard time coming up with original ideas.
Sharktale after Finding Nemo,
Antz at the same as Bug’s Life,
Another Madagascar.
ANOTHER Shrek in 2010,

Finally! A few seconds of Wall-E! Apart of the great job in animation, Pixar is using a a great brazilian song called “Aquarela do Brasil” (1939, Ary Barroso).
July 25th, 2007 at 8:41 am
What version of “Brazil”( Aquarela do Brasil) is this I can’t find it on any soundtracks that it is in

Hi
This may be a silly question for you, but how did you embed the video trailer onto your website? I’m using MT4 and trying to do this.

The song in the trailer is from the album “Brazil” by Michael Kamen, the song itself on that album is called “Central Services” or “Central Services/ The Office ” or “Central Services (The Office)”.
