He does not attain his power cosmic from the board, which means he has access to it while he is off of it, and the power cosmic grants him(among many other benifits) Gravitikinesis(manipulation of gravity). The board just makes flight possible without expending any of his own energy. The new Fantastic Four blew. The previews looked cool, but they were the only good parts in the movie. The only reason I and many others went to see it was because the Surfer was in it. Hopefully though they drop the ludicrous notion that Norrin draws his power solely from his board, and without it he turns into a feeble gray wimp. For it is not true. He does not even need it to fly. Why would Galctus do that? Is he just supposed to stay on his board forever? Bad writing. J.
