To add more fuel to the Transformers sequel fire: Michael Bay told the press at the Asia junket/press confrence for Transformers that they would make a Transformers 3, 4, 5 if the reaction (ie box office) is good enough. So it looks like Transformers fanboys will just have to see the movie 8 or 9 times to guarantee a sequel.

Well let’s see there are a ton of Autobot and Decepticons characters for part two thru four.
Soundwave, Galvatron, Shockwave, Thundercracker,Skywarp,
Tidal Wave(aircraft carrier), Ravage, Lazerbeak, Rumble,Blitzwing, Blurr, Wheeljack, Ultra Magnus, Hot Rod, Skyfire, Hound, Inferno,Prowl, Mirage, Cliffjumper, Buzzsaw, Constructicons,
All the Dinobots-Grimlock, Snarl,Slag,Sludge,and Swoop,
also Sideswipe, Smokescreen, and many others. Also I’d like to see Frenzy in part two, also Blackout should return for part two, how about Omega Supreme. One thing is for sure the main autobot and decepticon characters should not die, Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Ratchet, Starscream, Soundwave, if these get killed off to soon then your G1 fanbase will totally lose interest. If any of these have to die let it be in the final battle in the final film. Only then. till then there are plenty of other autobot and decepticon to be cannon fodder. Megatron should also return either as himself or rebuilt as Galvatron. And he and Prime should be in the final showdown in the final movie. Prime should win, but let it be one heck of a fight.

About the rumors, that Bay has signed on to do the transformers sequels. It would not be so bad but I believe there are two fundamental things that have to happen to keep the G1 Fanbase interested in watching the movies from here on out. Optimus must pull a trailer, this is not just for looks but for some aspect of keeping to the original, by completely redesigning the robots and then pulling a play out of bad comic book Adaption movies, he killed off 90% of the decepticons on earth much too quickly. Megatron should not have been killed off that quickly, but that is writing as well. So then my second point is, if Bay is going to follow through with making a second movie then what he needs to truly do is establish a poll for what the G1 through present fans want to see and find a way to fit that into his grand Scheme. Although along with this post I will ask a retorical question for everyone to chew on when it comes to the writing of the first movie, If all modern technology was reverse engineered from Megatron, so sorry NBE1, then why hasn’t earth developed beam weapons or transforming vehicles for the military?

I personally disliked the film because:
1: No transforming noises (nee-neh-nah-naw)
2: Pretty sure Optimus was WAY bigger than the other Autobots, definetly was as a toy
3: I couldn’t understand their damned voices apart from Optimus’s
4: I couldn’t see who was fighting who clearly
5: Since when did Transformers fist fight?
6: Where was the “Transformers, robots in disguise!” theme song?
Bah. No more sequels thanks.

in response to ‘jack’s’ post…think u need to c the movie again cuz u are way off on a few things
1: the transforming ‘noise’ is all over the movie, how could u miss it?
2: prime is significantly bigger than the other autobots, again, how could u miss that?
3 & 4: the voices & fighting were fine to most, but i do see how there could be confusion 2 some people.
5: transformers have been fistfighting since G1, again, how can u not know that?!?!?!?!
6: the origional theme song is worked into the movie score, no lyrics, but the music is there.
Maybe these aren’t the right movies 4 u jack, but next time please watch closely before complaining.

WOW…they should totally make a 3,4 & 5… transformers are the best of the best…im a 90’s kid and i remember watching all those cartoon episodes and rushing home from school just to watch the new episode… when they started playing previews of the movie i flipped…its the best and they should deffinitly keep it going!!

THE DR.: Since you think Jazz is the best (and I believe he is definitely up there), you should be happy to know that there is a great chance he is revived for the sequel with the power from the last piece of the Cube. It has been debated by many as to whether or not Optimus actually crushed it.

Holy crap its december…… anyways there will definately be a sequal i know that. first cause at the end of the movie starscream was flying out into space if u botherd to watch the credits. i would also like that trash talking autobot back. and they shouldnt make it too much like the cartoon. i think micheal bay is a excelent director. if they made it like the cartoon like some people are saying it should be, it will be more like a kids movie or mainly for nerds who think corny stuff is sweet… i watched the cartoons and i will totaly loose intrest in the movie if it turns out to be like that.

Bring in Soundwave with lazerbeak, ravage, rumble etc and Thundercracker, and Skywarp to join Starscream in TF 2 with a revival of Megatron at movies end to set up future installments.
These guys are the real Decepticons or the ones that a generation grew up with and were hooked on.
By utilising the original and most remembered characters the film makers will maximise return by keeping the interest of a generation of TF fans worldwide.
Characters can be killed off in the final installment as would be required.

Look the movie was great (from a true G1 thro to present fan) apart from WAY 2 many humans… except Megan fox o’course.
I can understand why they had to “hollywoodise” it otherwise they wouldnt have made it in the first place. Movies r about makin money.
That signal @ the end better b 4 HOTROD, Cup, Prowl, UltraM, possibly the dinobots and the rest. And the cornyness of the series was what made it so awsome, so adding it 2 the current movie was a good idea, keep up the good work MB and dont disapoint me with to much “blockbuster” poo.

Megatron was like the ultimate destroyer in Transfromers 1. I hope we will see him again in Transformers 2. I have always admired Megatron for his brutality and noncaring character. He is in my eyes the Ultimate Transformer. I wish once in my life I will have the oppurtuinty to see the Decepticons win. All hail Megatron.

1. Optimus has always been larger then the others. At least from what I’ve seen.

hii i just wanna say tht transformers well the first one lol is a realllli good movie i cant get ova it michael bay has done a real good job of it and i believe he will make transformers 2 3 4 5 humougous realli big hits!!!! transformers is the gr8est movie made realli well i would think it would be a real shame and waste of talent if the creators do not make the sequels!! i dont care if it takes more than ten years but you will realise afta however many years that it was worth watching the movies because we all know how great it is….!!!!!!!! plz watch the movie for us transformers fans!!!!!

Bay….transformers was a hell of a movie, i watch it jus about every night…the music was off da chain and the special effects/music was perfect too. I just want to know, how did barricade come back in the end when bumblebee beat his a** in the beginning.
2.You gave frenzy way 2 much sneak around as far as not getting caught by the humans especially on Airforce One, and even after the plane landed, anyone could have easily spotted him walking away.
3.You made Sam Wicketty(lol) a straight out punk! its funny but not cool, I think u should consider Me as a next character
4.In part 2,3,4,5…….Please make all the battles intense, especially when megatron and prime fights again…make sure prime wins though, oh and also make sure someone beats starscreams a**, he’s a punk for running in part I

I am a 14 year old girl who cant get enough of transformers. i know Im new to it compared to some but i love it none the less. I just want to know if there is anyone else who is kinda near my age who loves it as much as i do. i realised that if they keep taking 2 years to make each film(tf1 was released in june last year and tf2 will be released in 09) i’ll be 25 by the time the last one is released.lol. i also just want to say in the next one starscream becomes leader of the decepticons,scorponok revives megatron with his own spark and jazz may be revived with the last bit of the alspark.

I belive it was an awesome film but some things should have been kept the same as they were from the cartoons like Scorponok was the wrong size I am pretty sure I remember him being able to carry all the Decepticons. I remember Prime having a lot powerful gun and being stronger than what he was. I belive they should have had Bumblebee as a beetle, where was Prime’s trailer. Can some one tell me who the little Decepticon was, because if that was Soundwave then how big where his casstte going to be ie:- Rumble, lazerbeck.

transformers the movie SUCKS big time.
Megan Fox ?! ok she’s hot… other then the fact she’s a sitcom reject.
TF the movie sure….. a big time blockbuster money grabber ala Bay’s full explosion but sh*tty plot.
IMO few keys for a really true TF movie (not just titled” “Megan Fox’s movie featuring big transforming robots and a boy in puberty looking to get laid” is:
1) jump-start TF with new director, preferably the one who definitely understand TF (fan boy), i’m thinking Sam Raimy or Spielberg, or any other good director … but pls for God sake no more Bay
2) make TF movie with less human story driven plot, cut the BS like love story or those thrash jokes. Emphasis on the conflict between Autobots and Decepticons, more on Starscream vs Megatron, and even Prime’s sometimes lack of confidence on leading the autobots
3) pls no more car babes just for the eye-candy factor, put ppl like Megan Fox and the blonde hacker wanabee in something else…maybe Brokeback Mountain 2 (wink), that i will watch for sure
4) make the battle for watchable for the viewers, not just bang and blast, or fuzzy image flashing on the screen… for comparison, watch TF the Movie (classic animated), Meg and Prime battling it out and still it’s watchable and really good…
5)TF the movie 2007 definitely a good bang-for-bucks blockbuster movie, for the most part yummy to watch because the eye-candy (megan fox whoot) but absolutely,definitely this flick should not be named the Transformers at all, named anything else but not TF. This movie is like Godzilla the movie US version, a good franchise but gets FUBAR because someone who direct it don’t understand what drives ppl to love TF and Godzilla till now…
6) stop doing any sequels for this movie
7) start thinking a reboot project for TF Movie

okay, i am sooper excited about the new one coming out and hopefully there will be 3, 4,5. but for comedy, they should make some of the robot characters cuss a little bit, like in a funny way. for example:
(sam closes his window with bumblebee’s hand on the windowsill)
bumblebee: oooooohhh! GET IT OFF ME MAN!
(sam gets the window up) bumblebee: oh! sam! damn you!
sam: stop cryin’.
Something like that would be funny. and a lot more flying robots would be awesome too. but these r just suggestions
