A couple days back, Warner Bros [1] announced that The Dark Knight would four action scenes filmed with IMAX cameras. We told you then that IMAX offers a resolution comparable to about 10000 x 7000 pixels, or more than 10 times that of normal film. But that’s just numbers and words. Check out this new photo that Warner Bros is passing around to show the visual difference. Not only so we see more on top and bottom because of the non widescreen aspect ratio, but the resolution size is gigantic. And Please note that the image below for the IMAX film frame is not full size. Click on it to see it at full resolution.
