From day one we knew that Michael Bay’s big screen live action Transformers would likely spawn sequels. We quickly learned that most of the lead stars had signed options to lock them into a Transformers 2 and 3, if they were to be made. Now Digital Spy reports that “the DreamWorks studio has given the provisional go-ahead for two more movies.” Provisional Go-Ahead? What does that mean? According to the source, Studio bosses have given early approval for two sequels. So unless the first film performs under expectations, you can probably expect a trilogy.
