First, is that Moore’s intention was to help.
If that was his motive, and if putting the story in the film was an afterthought, then isn’t that a little strange that he stopped to take film footage of the check, BEFORE he sent it?
See, it’s little, undeniable things like that that shatter the logic of Moore’s benevolence.

Second, you speak of ungratefulness. Likely, because of what you’ve heard second or third hand from Moore defenders, like the ones above.
However, the truth is, there never WAS any ungratefulness.
Unlike those above, many people actually checked out the whole story, including Kenefick’s site, before making a comment. There, they learned that he has been nothing BUT grateful, thanking Moore several times, from his website, in provate emails to Moore (which were never answered) and on several podcasts and interviews with him.
It really is a shame that so many still blindly follow Moore and his accusations, when the facts are so easily found out there. It almost takes an EFFORT to stay in denial of that fact.

Lastly… you may value freedom of speech. I know I do. Most people do, in this country.
Moore, however, is not one of them.
In fact, besides Moore’s aside comments about Kenefick and his site, and his suggestions from himself and his fans and cohorts that Kenefick should take it as a payment for shutting up, Moore has even, in the past, tried to sue Kenefick into shutting his site down.
Does that sound like a love of the First Amendment to you?

No, you have to stop projecting your own integrity onto Moore. He is undeserving, and has proved it multiple times in the past.

Be satisfied in your own love of freedom of speech, but don’t assume Moore feels the same. He only protects that right when it applies to himself, not to others.

Ungratefulness is the way of the world and not everything can go our way, but one man said “When men do what they’re supposed to do, it’s not always about what they want.” Granted he was fictional, but he’s right none the less.

Kenefick, no one wants to buy your silence. Freedom of speech is greatly valued in this country no matter how it’s used.
