Last year we warned you that Jessica Simpson was making a remake of the 1988 Mike Nichols romantic comedy Working Girl. We knew from the start that Blonde Ambition would be horrible. For one, Jessica Simpson has almost no acting talent. And secondly, her father Joe Simpson is too near sighted to produce a good film. But now the trailer is out, and you can see for yourself after the jump.
The new movie stars Rachael Leigh Cook, Luke Wilson, Penelope Ann Miller, Andy Dick, Larry Miller and Willie Nelson.
The original Working Girl starred Melanie Griffith as Tess McGill, a hard working young woman who is determined to reach the top of the stockmarket world but is stuck in secretarial work. When her boss Katherine Parker (Sigourney Weaver) breaks her leg, Tess gets her chance to push ahead with her career. All the while she falls in love with Jack Trainer (Harrison Ford), who she later discovers is Katherine’s boyfriend.

Don’t be hating on Ms. Simpson. She’s beautiful, she’s talented, she’s got great moogly googly teeth that light up the night sky….wait, where was I? Gotta earn that kickback Mr. Simpson is sending my way by doing a little PR for his daughters. Man oh man, it’s hard work, but someone’s gotta do it, right? Right.
We know return you to your regularly scheduled programming…

Well, I made the mistake of actually checking out the trailer. Jessica Simpson is no Lucille Ball. And what exactly happened to Luke Wilson’s career? What exactly did he to do to deserve a supporting role in a Jessica Simpson comedy?

Looks like fun film - escapism is good. Besides, my granddaughter is in it. I’ll buy lots of copies.

Uh…not a good chick flick, a pathetic attempt by a terrible actress to kinda use her fading star power to try to make a buck. I hear it had the worst opening of the year - HA!

Maybe this movie will be a hit on the midnight movie circuit. I can imagine people packing the theaters and making fun of the movie at every single moment. This could be the next big cult classic.
