Johnny Depp has told Disney that he would be willing to return for a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean, but now word comes that director Gore Verbinski (who helmed the three previous films) is uninterested in helming the project.
“Gore’s sick of pirates. If I wrote a scene that had to be shot on water, he’d run the other way.,” said Mars Needs Moms! author Berkeley Breathed on a recent book tour appearance.
What does he know? Berkeley and Gore have been working together to adapt Breathed’s 2003 children’s book, Flawed Dogs: The Year End Leftovers at the Piddleton “Last Chance” Dog Pound into a Computer Animated movie for Disney.
The author also revealed that Back to the Future director Robert Zemeckis is attached to direct an adaptation of his latest book.
“Robert Zemeckis is doing the movie version of Mars Needs Moms! They’re working on the script now,” Breathed revealed.
Jim Hill speculates that this could be one of the very first projects to be produced by Disney’s new ImageMovers Digital unit.

i samantha moore would love to see another Pirates of the Caribbean. the last movie “At World End” was the awsomest movie in time. Despite its many flaws the movie still left me hungry fot more. if you are stil consitering makinf a forth movie at least keep the same actors. even though you would change the producer keep the actors. they work so well together and need to stay as a team. if you give in and keep then together the world will love you. i know that will. not really but you know what i mean. so PLEASE concidr this letter and please make a forth movie so my mom doesn;t have to listen to me complain on how you need to make another move .

You need the producer that has done the last 3 movies, they were so good(espically the 3rd one). Keira really needs to change her mind and be in the 4th one too. They need all of the same actors,cause they work so great together. Plus, how the third movie ended, there has to be more. it can’t end with will at sea for ten years and elizabeth at shore.

tsk tsk….true fans would have seen the previews already. She does remain at shore and with their son. Wait until the credits are finished ( on all 3 films ) and you too will see. Whether they follow through with the film is of course up to them but, they’ve already set the stage.
