Michael Bay’s Transformers won’t hit movie theater screens until mid-summer - two months from today to be exact. Yet, Dreamworks is already planning a sequel.
Transformers producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told the LA Times that the studio liked what they’ve seen so much so that they are “already developing a Transformers sequel script.” No word on who is involved, but I would suspect that screenwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman would be involved (if they can find time away from JJ Abrams Star Trek and Michael Bay’s 2010 film 2012: The War for Souls).
We’ll keep you updated on this story as it breaks.

Guys ive seen the movie today it was awesome, the special effects looked very very real, the movie was fun, with a good argument, but it left many questions without response, what happened to the scorpion decepticon that fled into the underground and starcreen that fled from Earth, well maybe the second movie will bring the responses to it, i strongly suggest all of you to go to the cinema ans see it its worth while, great movie simply great.

OK for Transformers 2 I wonder which Autobots and Decepticons will appear,
many choices to choose from, there was Trailbreaker, Smokescreen, Hound, Mirage,Wheeljack,Vintage, Inferno, as for the Decepticons there was Skywarp, Thundercracker, Soundwave w ( Ravage, Laserbeak), Sixshot, Rumble, Dirge, Galvatron, lots of choices, I think for the 2nd film the filmakers shouldn’t go to over the top, yes have plenty of action, but the 2nd film should be a lead up to the 3rd. I don’t want to see any of the main Autobots or Decepticons be killed off in the 2nd film, especially Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Starscream, if Soundwave is in the 2nd, don’t kill him off either, I’d really like to see Starscream get more screen time in the 2nd, now of course I know that there will have to be some Autobots and Decepticons that will have to be killed off, thats fine, just get ones from the Beastwars series or make up some new bots all together to be the cannon fodder. The one big screwup that the animated movie made was killing off Prime, Ironhide, Starscream, Megatron turns into Galvatron, etc. the series was never the same, even though they eventually brought Prime and Starscream back. it was kind of to late. so anyways words of wisdom to the filmakers of Transformers 2, don’t kill off Prime, Ironhide,Bumblebee,Ratchet,

This movie is amazing, I went to see it 2 times already.. as i watch I remember the cartoon and how it was so close to the the cartoon series. This movie has done great in the Bahamas, and part wil be welcome here. I saw children, adults, young and old enjoying the transformers. Prime is still my favoprite autobot

yo yo mr morethanmeatstheeye, concerning the brother issue I brought up, Iknow the cartoon and the story line about vector sigma, and how optimus prime was a worker robot called something odd then he got bust up by megatron then re-built by alpha trion and how he is one of two keys that activates
the vector sigma…

Arcee might be remodeled into another vehicle.

If I was the filmmaker, Id say don’t change it.
A motorcycle is pretty good already. Change the violet paintjob into red or light blue. Never pink! Let her have a Decepticon feature like a rider hologram.

I have seen it 4 times.. the first time i was amazed.. i thought it was close to perfect.. the second time while driving home from the cinema i actually thought the cars, trams busses around and in front of me were going to transform and no i wasn;t on anything. The 3rd time.. it was still great and the 4th time i saw it from a utube download that sucked.. the quality and lack of punch from the surroundsound was poor on the computer.. so go see it at the movies while you still got the chance! Prime was insane!! mind blowing.. dont kill him off or you’ll piss of 3/4 of the fans. I’m glad they got the same guy that did the cartoon voice over, it finshed off the excellent CGI work! I’m glad megatron is gone, starscream looked amazing and i hope he gets more screen time in the 2nd. I also thought sasha did an excellent job. More graphic fighting with the robots please!! i.e like when prime rips of bonecrushers head.. peace.. cant wait till the next one

Wow! Great movie i saw it five times and i wanna see it again. You need to make more movies of Transformers. Starscream kicked ass in that movie, he was the only decepticon that lived. I never watched the cartoon, but untill i saw the movie i was all upon the internet looking at action figures and looking at their past and looking at all the all the old characters. You cant leave Megatron out of the second movie, i mean starscream as captain is badass, but its just not Transformers without Megatron. You need to put a lot of new characters and some more action and fighting. Once again great movie and keep making them.

That movie was fantastic!!! All the special effect made the film - It almost made them look like they were actually there!!! To all out there who think this film is crap, why are so many people giving it such good reviews and seeing it more than once?? Scorponock?(scorpion thing), Starscream and Barricade (Cop Car) were the only Decepticons to survive where only Jazz died for the Autobots!! The next film should be better than the first although wont be out until 09!! but I’m looking forward to it!!

The movie was BRILLIANT, the special effects (like the transforming) were AWESOME and the fighting was FANTASTIC. I was a bit sad that they Killed of jazz Because he is one of my faviroute Autobots, And i was a bit sad they killed of most of the decepticons, Bonecrusher got his skull bone crushed when optimus prime shoved a blade through his head, it really was a blackout for Blackout after the army did their stuff, Devastator was devastated when bumblebee shot him with his cannon, Frenzy accidentally took his own head of with his own boomarang blade and Megatron Burned when Sam witwiki fried him with the cube although Megatron will come back, he is to importent to kill of on the first movie. Starscream survived and flew of into space(i hope he gets more screen time in movie number 2, you only see him in the big fight and when he flies off), Barricade survives (i love his motto “To punish and enslave) and scorponok survives although he gets his tail blown off. In the next movie and the one after that, i would like to see Hot rod/Rodimus prime, Kup, Blur,Ultra-magnus,Wreck-gar and the dinobots especially Grimlock because he is my all time faviroute and from the decepticons i would like to see Soundwave. Cant wait for the next movie.

The look of the first movie was well polished, but the story was of the first television episode. Which really hurt true transformer fans, like myself. Millions of people would of liked to see the movie, more about the seibatrons and not the flesh creatures. come with it man The Headmasters, Targetmasters, Victor Sigma, and please the real Megatron( the gun) and Soundwave(the radio) with it being years since the original: the sky’s the limit. I have to say, great job on the movie Micheal Bay, kept most of us Transformers’ fans happy with the amount of action he put in the movie. I’m not sure how far along the Producers are with the Transformers 2 script, but I have a little suggestion.
Maybe when Star Scream goes up into space like he did in the closing moments of the first movie, he meets up with either Soundwave or Shockwave in Mars, and they develop a time machine device that takes them to 1985 on Earth, and they re-build Megatron then after that, somehow Bumblebee will get wind of it, and notify the Autobots, while Megatron, Starscream, and Soundwave/Shockwave notify the other Decepticons, then we can see the Transformers take their 1980s forms.
Just a small suggestion, but because I’m such a fan I’ll be happy with whatever they do, the only thing I’d require to see is Omega Supreme make an appearance in the next one, (he’s my favorite, hence the name.)

Unicron wasn’t a decepticon just to clarify for the 2nd post, but i think he’ll be in it to turn Megatron into Galvatron like in the series. However i’d like to see more of Megatron in the second film as Megatron and not as Galvatron they should hold off the transformation to Galvatron until the third if they do it.
Hope to god Sound wave is in it, and it has to be the guy that originally did the voice otherwise he might as well not be in it. If Sound Wave is in the film he should also have Laser beak and Ravage instead of Frenzy and the scorpion, although the scorpion for all we know is still alive.
Starscream has to come back with skywarp and Thundercracker. That is the most logical thing i think considering he flies off into space. Hopefully they have Starscream try and assume control like in the series but thats when Megatron shows up again.
As for the Autobots…Ultra Magnus, Hot Rod, Hound, Sideswipe, Skyfire would all be good additions. Skywarp especially considering his past friendship with starscream. That could be a good moment in the film if they came face to face. I’d like to see Warpath in their as well.

I think in part 2 Starscream should be leader of the decepticons.
Then make a group of other decepticons go find Megatron in the Abyss and rebuild him into Galvatron.but Galvatron tries to take over but starscream won’t let him.so for the final battle have the autobots vs
starscream and the decepticons vs Galvatron.winner takes all.and it ends galvatron killing Starscream and the autobots defeating Galvatron.

Well, as much as I dont want optimus prime to die, i think the fact that Hot Rod will be (most probably) be in the 2nd movie means Prime will “have” to die. Hence, the probably transition to Rodimus Prime. Likely “evil king” is probably starscream. One thing to probably blow our minds away might be the aircarrier decepticon, imagine how huge it would be!

i am hearing all types of rumours is this ” The auto-bots must now fight a new decepticon ,Maximus prime. Maximus prime wants to catch four minibots to make a weapon of unlimited strength. I heard that the sequel would have Jazz in it.I mean,why would Optimus still keep Jazz’s remains for? Isn’t there a reason for Ratchet on the team? The next movie might be called “Allspark Powered” which means that the remaining energy of the Allspark could have rubbed off on all of the Transformers and changed them.so that might mean that Optimus MIGHT do something with the reamins of the Allspark..I DO know that Barricade,Skorponok,and Starscream would be in the next one.Saying how the two didn’t show in the city fight,and Starscream escaped in the end.With an ending like that,then you’d have no choice but to ponder about a sequel.

Frenzy was kind of a disciple of Soundwave,Which means he was kind of a replacemnt for him.But really,there were 7 Decepticons,(Megatron,Barricade & Frenzy,Starscream,Bonecrusher,Brawl,Blackout,and Scorponok.) And there was 5 Autobots,(Optimus Prime,Ironhide,Bumblebee,Jazz,and Ratchet.) But the Decepticons still lost.So strange how Blackout died.His armor is increased in robot form.So combine that with the armor with his MH-53 Sikorsky Pave Low Helicopter form,shouldn’t he be nearly invincible? I mean he’s freakin’ huge! He’s 38 feet tall and that’s bigger than Megatron,who is 36 feet.
Anyone noticed that no matter what generation it is,Starscream is always trying to rule over Megatron? And for the record,THE best parts of the movie was the:
1)Mountain-Dew bot

TRANSFORMERS. Probably the best movie of the summer of 2007. With cool effects & with beautifully scipted story its unbelievable. As i know most of TRANSFORMER fans waiting anxiously for the 2nd. Its very much better if they could release it on summer of 2008. Definetly Their should be a Triology.
As rumours flow their will be 2 DECEPTICONS groups, 1 led by STARSCREEM & other by SOUNDWAVE. For the AUTOBOTS, led by their invincible leader OPTIMUS PRIM, new faces will be joined. AUTOBOTS & humans will fight again the 2 DECEPTICONS groups who fight each other as well as agains us (WE & AUTOBOTS)
However we are going to miss the old characters in the first movie, If the scipt flows like above It can be JAZZ as well as DECEPTICONS (BLACKOUT, BONECRUSHER, DEVESTATOR & ,MEGATRON) Its better if the creators can bring them back again also. (ITS MY WISH) But if we bring too many robots to the film it will be a chaos & confuse. My suggestion is THE MOVIE SHOULD BE AGAIN AUTOBOTS vs. DECEPTICONS. No 2 Decepticon grops. EACH SIDE SHOULD CONSIST OF max. 8-10 ROBOTS. THATS IT.
AUTOBOTS LED BY OPTIMUS PRIM & DECEPTICONS LED BY MEGATRON, again.
THE BIGGEST ??? IN THE TRANSFORMERS is WHATS HAPPEN TO BARRICADE @ THE END OF THE MOVIE? WHERE IS BARRICADE? WHERE THE HELL HE IS?

The last time he was seen was on the highway.No idea where he could’ve went.Skorponok could’ve been in the city fight.His claws can drill through hard landscapes besides sand.But he’s mostly used for inflitration like Frenzy.So there’s no way he would’ve survived in that fight.So I guess the makers wanted to keep Barricade and Skorponok for the next movie..

i read somewhere that they will have the female robot Arcee in the 2nd film.
they were going to include Arcee, wheeljack and prowl in the first film but michael bay didnt want that bc he wanted to use barricade as the police car and thought people would get barricade and prowl confused.
and they didnt have enough time to xplain a female robot
i also read that they want to use an aircraft carrier for a robot and call him tidelwave.

Transfromer 2 is when starscream reclaims megatrons place as king of the decepticons. but soundwave and others loyal to megatron set out on their own to try to revive megatron. Starscream, however, is looking for part of the all spark that was saved from megatron by sector 7. In the middle of a decepticon civil war, the autobots, Sam, and Makala find themselves trying to save the human race once again.

I love the Transformers movies like most of you did. Blackout was definitely my favorite I was sad to see him die. The sheer carnage and insane-ness at the beginning of the movie made him my absolute favorite. As far as introducing Arcee that should be pretty cool. I don’t see how they could introduce something the size of an aircraft carrier IE. Tidalwave unless he was some sort of boss bot. Look how hard it was for the autobots and humans to destroy Devastator. It would take sheer lunacy to take out an aircraft carrier size decepticon.

In the first Transformers game,Tidalwave was huge! You was about the size of his thumb and his only weakspot was his head since his body was EXTREMELY HEAVILY ARMORED.But his sheer size wouldn’t let you get even a half inch close to him.Hence,200 heat seeking missles per pod? Plus there’s like,30 pods in all.So that’s like…6,000 rockets coming towards you at once o_O.Imagine that in the movie.Let’s just say nobody will be left alive.I almost forgot about 4 ultra plasma cannons,10 huge machine guns the same strength as Brawl’s(Devastator,) and a heck load of nuclear bombs.You think anyone would be able to fight that O_O?

I’m not sure if any of you heard, but the script for TF2 is leaked… just search for it on google or any other search engine…. the guy who spoiled is actually on the spot…. though the script is just a backbone…. most will be used… The movie will introduce Soundwave, Constructicons, Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, and a few other known characters… The visual effects are going to be bumped up another notch… The end is a cliff hanger… So of course part 3 is just around the corner… P.s. Michael Bay is pissed the script is leaked… oh well.

I think for the second movie they should create a decepticon that transforms into a human like robot, you know be really small so that he would look human, he would be sent in to steal the small piece of the all spark that optimus has by pretending to be good and that is how they could bring back megatrons spark and turn him into galvotron, after the spy decepticon realizes that the autobots have a point and switches side trying to reverse what he did. it would be interesting to see a decepticon turn into an autobot after he brings back megatron

the first film really was the business, considering the sheer amount of computer generated action in it, the second one, with the technological advances that WILL happen between now and the release, will be even better.
I hope another of the funny little dudes that turned into a radio in the first one is in the second too - he cracked me up (obviously it won’t be the same one - as he kinda killed himself )
also hope that ’sam and makaela’(sp?) sign up for the second one too as his constant attempts to impress her gave the film a comical / romantic side too.

I would love too see the stunticons in the second film. if a whole heap of autobots where too be killed or there was too be a group of decepticons terriorising human motoristist etc, these five manaics would be best suited to do it. it would be like the G1 episode of “Trans-Europe express” again!! oh and near the end the stunticons unite to form menasor!!! “menasor crush, destory!!!” just amagine the total choas in the film!! anyway stunticons or no stunticons i hope the second movie is as awesome as the first was!!

transformers was indeed a wonderful movie.
even if shia has been arrested for threatening his neighbor with a knife, his role and his talent makes him a respectable individual.
however, i do not think that this film in anyway requires or should have a sequel. i have been too poisoned with failures of follow up films that kill the magical essence of everything that was once so good. saw, pirates, greece. make it stop, please.
good luck to transformers two, i hope you do not disapoint like the rest, but i cannot help but to expect that you do.

At the end of the 1st movie, optimus prime sent out a message, remember? decepticons could also get the message, not just autobots. also, starscream is alive. There were also 3 other robots nobody seems to remeber.

I do know that there was a deleted fight scene between prime and barricade towards the end.. why it was deleted i have no idea.. been trying unsuccessfully to try and get it though.. as for scorponox, i guess he was injured by the air strikes in the desert but didnt really die.. so i guess it would be logical to expect him being there again in the next movie.. he is the most brainless decepticon there is anyway.. haha.. look out for soundwave in the next movie.. heard he’s gonna have a major role.. :) cheers and merry xmas to all!

Ok just a few points, firstly, the comment when prme says good bye brother to Megatron, who’s saying they’re actually brothers, that term is used everybloody day on the streets and it certainly doesnt meant that everyone who says it is related does it!!

That movie was worse than smelling fresh dog poop. It sucked and the Transformers looked like Bionicle/Batteries not Included garbage. I couldn’t believe what they did to the story. Now on one hand that chick was pretty hot, but come on did she really belong in a Transformers movie, duh! NO. Megatron was most definately the biggest upset, he looked like a rolled up piece of tin foil. The movie plain and simply sucked. They destroyed the characters and made a bigger deal of the army than the Transformers (wasn’t this movie titled “Transformers”). They should have called it Gi Joe vs the Gobots. All they had to do was follow the comic book and G1 Transformers cartoon storyline. As far as the design of the Transformers goes, just look at the G1 figures and Dream Wave comic book art, the blue prints are right there! Shame on michael bay for this propaganda film. Whats up with the 911 reference when prime and megatron were fighting? Watch readers and you’ll see! If there is a sequel, please dont make Devastator or the like single entities and please design the other Transformers more like there cartoon/comic book counter parts. I think they should start from scratch and redue the entire movie (characters, storyline etc.)

I love the Transformers movie!
I don’t care what professional computer-graphic-artists say about how the production transformed the autobots. The production did an awesome job and successfully brought the comic/cartoon back to life in the…‘metal’?(since I can’t really say flesh!)
I wish I can be in this movie. I’m an aspiring actress and try my best at any play/skit(anything involving acting) to give my audience an awesome performance! I try hard so I can improve my acting skills. :)
If i was aver offered a role in this movie, i would give my entire interest and devotion to it until the movie is done. That’s how i am and i stick by it. Too bad that won’t happen though. They most likely got the cast set and prepared( and they would put me as an extra…even though extras are important too. If it wasn’t for extras, everywhere the main actors will be will be completely deserted!)
The only problem i have with this movie is it not having Hot Shot. I LOVE HOT SHOT and when i was watching the first movie i was sad he wasn’t in the movie. Yes, Bumble Bee is my favorite, but i wish Hot Shot was in the movie (with tons of other people that share my thoughts as well). If Hot Shot (and Bumble Bee) is in the second movie, i will be there at the theatre opening day to see it.

i totally agree with ”just say…”. there should be more good flying robots. seeing more air battles would be great. and if anyone should be given the flying gene its bumblebee. lets make those wings bigger and put them to work huh? i bet in the movie sam would love it if he could get on his back and go flying with him. like an eragon type feel. but instead of arcee being a motorbike she should be a car, i don”t know what kind but at least a car. maybe light blue or some other girly color 4 mikayla, you know?

I’m already looking forward to the next “Transformers” movie, I have heard all kinds of stories of what’s going to happen in “Transformers 2″.
I just want to see some more of my favorites from the old cartoon in the 1980s, characters like “Sunstreaker”, “Sideswipe”, “Cliffjumper”, “Skywarp”, “Thundercracker”, “Soundwave”, etc.
The Dinobots and the Predacons would be cool too.
