1408 Photos and Movie Trailer

1408 LogoToday we bring you ten new photos from 1408, the latest big screen adaptation of a Stephen King story. There are a lot of Stephen King movie adaptations that aren’t very good, and this looks to be one of them.

1408 follows Mike Enslin, an author of two hit books focusing on supernatural phenomena. As research for his latest book, Enslin is determined to check out the notorious room 1408 in a New York City hotel by personally staying as a guest in the fabled room. With the intention that 1408 is just a myth perpetuated by stories and rumor that Enslin has collected for his past works. However, hotel manager Mr. Olin has strong objections to Enslin’s stay and only warns him of possible danger to come. But Enslin is determined to go through and convinced that the horrific past of 1408 is just mere coincidence and a myth. But what Mike Enslin is about to experience is no myth, as 1408 truly is a room where the guests don’t check out by noon. Directed by Mikael HÃ¥fström (Derailed, Evil), the film stars John Cusack, Samuel L. Jackson, and Mary McCormack.

We have also included the theatrical trailer, after the jump. As always, click on the images to enlarge the photos.

I saw the trailer for this when I went to see Grindhouse and I actually thought it looked pretty promising. Håfström is a very skilled horror/thriller director, and the scenes looked intense enough to quiet down the rowdy Grindhouse crowd for the entirety of the trailer. My prediction is that it will do modestly in theaters but clean-up on DVD.

I dunno. I saw the trailer for this before Grindhouse and it was actually a creepy trailer. I think this might be one of those Stephen King movies that is actually good. Definitely a renter.

I think this might be a very good movie. Ever since John Cusack was in Midnight In The Garden of Good And Evil, he's shown that he can be very dramatic and believable.

I loved this movie. I rented it from Netflex. I like scary movies, but they are so predictable. This movie was not predictable. Had me on edge throughout the entire movie. Very suspenceful. Way to go Stephen King, you the man.

I watched this at 2:30 in the morning with my 2 best friends in Scotland. We were all alone and we watched it and kept hearing these really strange noises. We were so scared and we jumped at the bit with the man in the vent and whne the guy had the axe! :S such a scary film!
I recommend this and if you liked that then I recommend that you watch the exorcist! (watch out for the part when she walks down the stairs!)
